i thought degale looked frale at the weigh in & he's been out running :!:

he admits ginge has big balls & if he comes to fight he'll get knocked out & if he goes technical he will last longer  i think degale was using reverse psychology even tho he seem's to thick & im not sure if booth & groves picked up on it as they are just looking moody & keeping the cards close.

degale has struggled before but was never really tested. george looks really good & fit. i certainly believe groves has been massively underestimated & i did fancy degale from the start. but if there are silly odds im backing groves, as im beggining to think degale has underestimated him & is over confident & will not box to his strengths because he believes he can beat groves in a bravado fashion & will fight role reversal & will come unstuck.

Ive always backed Groves.

He's passed his gut check against a terrific opponent in unbeaten Kenny.

sound like an anderson pal tho gomez ;;-)

i think anyone who knows there am boxing know's kennys left hook has felled many big 81kg lad's & his pro career hasnt really shown his power as 12st is an ask & until groves nobody has come at him.

Groves had a solid look at the weigh in which bodes well for a good fight. He looked the part for sure compared to James's overconfidence...do I fancy him though is a different matter.....

I think it's going to be a short war compared to a long battle.

If there's a fight that has my heart wanting a fighter to win but brain saying he can't it's this! I'd love Groves to win as I just find Degale unamusing, lacking in charm and was really unimpressed at yesterday's press conference with all the 'I'll back your wages' stuff. And Jim McDonnell getting involved in it all too was just unsightly and embarrassing and I like Jimmy alot and have always found him to be a nice guy when I've spent time in his company. But all that whispering in Degale's ear was just a bit cringy for me.

But it's when that first bell goes that matters and I think Degale wins, but it will be a hard night. Also, I'm I'm wondering how strong he is at the weight. I also think the Smith fight (sorry Smigga fans) flattered him as I've never been overly impressed with Smith. I also heard that Degale was way over the 12st limit just a month before that.

I just hope Groves gives him a real run for his money and even if he loses he's young enough to come again.

Still, something inside me also says Groves will put up the fight of his life and power through in nine rounds. He needs to be really positive and take it to Degale though, he's not going to win on the outside, he needs to go for it and take the fight to Degale from the off and shake his confidence. If he can do that, he's in the fight.

I'd be stunned if Groves pulls this off. I think Degale will be the best in the division within 3 years and one of the best pound for pound in boxing. I think he'll give Groves a complete hammering and then move on to bigger things. Don't think they should be looking to match him with the likes of Froch for at least 18 months though

I've picked George to win in all the Prediction Leagues and I think he'll really test DeGale. Gonna be a great fight.

I feel like everyone who likes Groves to win are doing so for personal reasons or are letting their heart speak for them.

I just hope no one bets with their heart. I've heard very little actual rational support in why Groves will win, other than he is "more technical".

Head says DeGale, but would love it if George took away some of that cockiness, at least by making it a hard night for James.

At 3/1 at Ladbrokes I have £30 on Groves

I'm the first on here to say well done Groves. He lost me a fair bit of money and made my Degale prediction look poor but the lad boxed a great fight and Degale just didn't get going.

Need Hopkins to rescue my betting weekend now!

You could be in trouble. I don't see Hopkins winning despite his record of always winning the second time around. Hope I'm wrong though he deserve's the record despite being boring :-)

Predicted Groves win in March and got laughed at on here :)

http://bit.ly/jyTJQc

He was brilliant last night, pure class.

DeGale is a pillock, thinks he has a divine right to win....he was totally exposed. Brilliant victory for GG, much deserved.

Anyone remember who the two trainers were who went for Groves in the Boxing Monthly poll?
