I've sent enough texts out today, told ya!!!!. Paul Smith made DeGale look far better than he is. The fight could have been more entertaining, and I agree with Frank that DeGale LOST it, but nevertheless I'm soooo pleased for Groves. A lovely, personable kid.

Don't always believe the hype. Think outside the box. I couldn't believe, and still can't, how many of you bought into DeGale's hype. Crackas lads.

Thought degale would win, but wellllllll happppyyyyyyyy for groves!!!!!

well done the boy. he fought a good game plan and took the result. degale must of got booed from every punter in the arena. well deserved.

DeGale makes things more difficulkt for himself than it needs to be by being cocky and unlikeable.

It wasn't a great fight, but I'm double pleased for Groves and Hayemaker. A lot of people thought they were barmy for taking this fight.

Absolutely.

Groves absolutely clowned with him at times. Great defensive display and discipline by Groves.

I thought the cut hindered Groves at the end a bit, it was running into his eye, and he couldn't see but that still didn't discourage him. I think Groves would have won the last two decisively if it wasn't for the cut.

At no point did groves clown degale. At no point whatsoever !

I'm made up for Groves, but you're right, that was nerve jangling to watch for every one of the 12 rounds. No clowning at all, unless you're counting the crimson on Groves face.

I'm betting Groves is on cloud 9 right now because those looked to be 12 very harrowing rounds, he couldn't slack off for a second.
