What was the hardest knockout for you to see as a boxing fan

.....?

I have a list, but I'd rather not bore you and I'd prefer to hear what some of you have to say.

For me, most recently, Montiel getting KTFO by Donaire. Holy shit, that was brutal. Surprised Cochulito made it back to his fight only to eat a few more shots before the referee stopped it.

I dont know if a stoppage counts, but I'll never forget watching De La Hoya fall apart against Pacquiao. It was one of those death by a thousand cuts losses, and its probably the only fight Ive ever watched which genuinely moved me. Ive not watched it since.

Hagler/Hearns or Bowe/Holyfield.

Even though they both got up. I thought Tommy was going to execute Marvin, silly me, and Holyfield had Bowe stopped in the 6th. Actually watching Evander unable to land the one more punch he needed was more painful than the stoppage itself.

Not a KO but watching McGuigan pull himself back into the winning position of the fight with Cruz only to get dropped 3 times in the 15th was awful.

Barry had no right being able to pull that fight around but he did only to wilt in the last 3 mins.

Also watching every shot Breland threw drop Honeyghan was very hard especially as I think Lloyd would have taken him a few years earlier.

When Mickey Vann stopped Lennox Lewis from pushing the heal of his hand in Bruno's face, and Bruno wandered along the ropes bleary eyed. He had nothing left then, Lewis was allowed to continue a sickening barrage of full blooded punches on a defenceless Bruno.

Johnny Owen getting knocked by Lupe Pintor, because you knew that he would never gain concsiousness again after recieving that punch in the 13th round of his title shot against Pintor.

By hardest do you mean emotion wise?

If so, in history, seeing Joe Louis get Ko'd is upsetting.

Otherwise, I really don't like Pernell Whitaker's KO of Hurtado, it made me cringe. The ref should have done something sooner.

Tyson-Williams
Gatti-Gomez
Louis-Marciano

McClellan-Benn is number 1 for me though. I have tried to watch the fight again and I just can't get into the excitement of it knowing what happens at the end.

...two....charles kayo by walcott and charles ko by john hollman. hollman was especially difficult as he didn't belong in the same ring with a prime charles and even though he won the rematch it was obvious he was fighting only because he had to because he was broke....and kept doing downhill.

Tyson/Douglas

I was 12 at the time and Tyson was my idol. I still watch that fight and wish for more seconds in the 8th round after the Buster knockdown.

Also Julian Jackson murdering Herol Graham's face with once monster right hand after Graham's near faultless display up to that point.

The "near knockout" that Moore put on Charles has left jaclem in denial and with compromised judgement regarding the sweet science in the wake of said event.

Eubank V Watson II. People today don't realise how big a fight this was at the time. Watson was my favourite fighter at the time. He had bullied Eubank all fight looking for redemption after his earlier loss to Eubank only for Eubank to stop him. To be so close to the top of the mountain only to fall all the way back down. Life can be so cruel.

However, Watson has been an inspiration since. I am not a religious person by a long stretch but he embodies the power of the human spirit against adversity.

Yes; I wanted Herol to win very badly, and when he won v Pazienza and Grant I was on the toilet every couple of minutes.

Ross Hale by Paul Ryan was bad; both men were sound and I didn't expect that early finish.
