Boxing show on Talksport?!?

Does anyone else think Talksport are missing a massive trick not having a boxing phone in show?
National station, perfect audience fit yet they seem to avoid boxing all together........Personally I think they should look to move Buncey from the BBC and get him hosting a regular show with a phone in element - say on a Sunday night after the weekends boxing.
Anyone else agree?

I like the idea but in the interests of variety, I'd rather they gave someone other than Bunce a crack at it.

It would be a good idea if Gary Norman (of sky 1990s fame) could host it. Whatever happened to Gary Norman anyway? Now he was good at his job!

Here is a chance of maybe getting the Bunce boxing hour on BBC London which i know for a fact is the highest listened to show on that platform and also does well on Iplayer and podcast downloads.

Recently was a thread about this on ESB http://www.eastsideboxing.com/forum/sho ... p?t=309303

Worth a quick email here is a sample of the email i sent
To whom it may concern,

The remit of BBC radio 5live explained from your own questionnaire is:

• It should provide high quality, trusted sports broadcasting and sports journalism
• It should aim to unite audiences around big sporting occasions
• Specialists should provide expert analysis and opinion
• It should cover sports not widely accessible on UK radio

One of the sports that I feel is neglected on this particular station and across the BBC is boxing. Whilst there is adequate coverage of big fights involving British fighters such as Amir Khan and David Haye the sporadic one hour shows on boxing are both of a lesser quality and not broadcast often enough. They are often broadcast at a time when they come into direct competition with the only other weekly boxing show available, Ringside on Sky Sports.

The BBC already runs a weekly boxing show on BBC London which is listened to by boxing fans all over the country and is one of the highest rated shows on that station and also does well on a number of other mediums such as podcast downloads, BBC Iplayer and online streaming as many of those listening do not live within the London catchment area.

The BBC already has the resources available to stage a weekly boxing show and an excellent presenter in Steve Bunce. A sport which has a fan base such as boxing deserves a national platform for listeners and an hour weekly show on this national radio station would much better reflect the demand for this sport by fans across the country.

Personally, what I think SHOUTsport is missing is anyone that can talk a bit of sense, I don't care what sport they are commenting on. If I wanted to listen to guys with limited intellect, shouting their opinions as fact and believing the way to win a discussion is to be louder than the other person, then I would spend more time in the pub, which is what I do, sorry what was the question?

Class

Most of the shows they have do feature boxing at some point, especially in the run up to a big fight which is being covered by Sky.

I was actually called up to be on a couple of times in my BBN days; these days their go to guy is Gareth from the Telegraph.

But a show would be a really good idea, they're all set up for it...
