Leonardo Zappavigna and his team announced today via his website that his next fight will be an eliminator for the IBF Lightweight World Title against Ameth Diaz of Panama.

I heard this mentioned after the fights a couple of Friday nights ago, if Brian and Barry have their way, it's going to be on at the Melbourne Pavillion, along with Katsidis and a Melbourne based fighter (I'm not at liberty to name said fighter)

I would think same. Zappavigna wouldn't headline own show and with Katsidis fight probably being in Melbourne and Lenny not announcing where his is gonna be this seems correct :)

Diaz is down to fight TBA in an IBF eliminator next weekend in Parts Unknown, USA.

He should easily see off TBA, even in TBA's home town, Parts Unknown.

It appears this is happening on a Fox show by Barry Michael in August......a good fox card but does Lennys team think this is the right prep for a rematch with Vazquez????

I honestly think Lenny can beat Vazquez but it's going to be by KO only, so maybe a prep fight against someone of similar attributes as Vazquez, to prep for the fight.

This is an IBF elimination fight, not a title fight.

I don't know if this is a form line, but Diaz was KOed in one by the same Ji Hoon Kim Lenny Zappa KOed easy.

Was going to fight in MMA early in 2012 but put that on hold and I was told March 17 boxing fight
