I thought the BoxRec'ers would wanna know how they got on. They drew with ref Phil Edwards scoring it 58-58 and in my opinion it was a fair result.

I hope that both now have more respect for each other; it seemed to really matter to both men. Fair play to them (and hope they got a decent payday as well).

well i still hav the thoughts i did b4 in levels etc but like i told howard afterwards i underestermated him, didnt think i needed to train to hard or diet and i did think id take him out but they hav dun gud wiv him and hes improved and worked hard and if the man has a dream who am i to piss on it wiv my lack of em?? no matter wot people think of us we did boxing gud last night, properly matched lads having a fight giving the fans value for money and not sum superstar taking a lad out in 1 at 24hour notice.and wev earned each other another pay day coz we hav to do it again

Thanks for the interest guys, that was by far my best technical performance so far. Me and Lee have both shook hands and let bye gones be bye gones. I think it would be a cracking rematch over 10 rounds for a british masters title or area title. Everybody has said they thought it was a cracking tear up and a very competative fight. My son was happy and thats what matters to me most. My team were proud and my students got to see that I don't just talk the talk. A few more evenly matched fights at cruiserweight and lets see where I can get myself. Once again thanks to you all for the interest even "the truth" as you have in fact got people behind me and supporting me. Everyone loves and underdog

Thanks to all the lads at both Oliver's gym and JRGym for cheering me on and thanks to my team espescially Johnney Roye who has helped me improve my technique and conditioning massively. The man has given me lots of time in one to one training sessions with 1st class pad work and even sparred me which I believe is the greatest privilage any trainer can give their student. He has taken his lumps on his journey to a Muay-Thai world title and doesn't have to take any off me. Back in the gym tomorrow to stay fighting fit for any away shows that need me for cruiserweight fights. See you at a show near you soon

I was there for the fight and (unfortunatley i am good friends with both fighters knowing Lee from the amateurs and meeting Howard as a 20st plus guy who was sparring any local fighters or doorman in the northwest learning the skills the hard way) it lived up to expectations!! They both fought like a title was on the line!! It was non stop from the 1st bell to the last and very entertaining to watch Lee has always had very good power and Howard is 1 of the toughest men you can meet! Thanks lads for a great fight (i think fair result too) and Howard it would make for a great title fight!! Also credit to these small hall promoters fuckin hell so much hard work for guys like jonny roye, ste wood, carl greves, steve goodwin etc we need to all support these shows who help promote all us non tv fighters.

14st5.5lb mate a pound and a half over the championship limit but a wee and taking my undies off would have lost that. I think Lee was 14st8.5lb, he looked huge at that weight though. He is a big strong lad for the weight.

Thanks Mat, I still appreciate the help you gave me in the early days with the basics mate. I just wish I'd started as a kid in the amateurs but my mum didn't like it, she thought it was to violent

Sorry guys, I don't want to give my future foes any video to do their homework from. Once I have done a sky show or something and there is a video on youtube that I have no control over then i'll post me and Lee with pleasure.
