Non-boxing fans and their comments

I have told several of my mates that I am off to the Haye/Klitschko fight and when they found out how much I paid for the ticket (€200) they said they would piss themselves if I wasted all that money and the fight only went one round. This really pisses me off.
Firstly: There will be other fights on the bill.
Secondly: Even if it did only go one round, so the fornicate what? I will be pleased that I was there to see it in person.
Thirdly: I would rather pay money to go and watch a one round ko than I would to go and watch a Premier League footie game which ends in a draw.
It's not easy being a boxing fan. Nobody understands

I would have thought a non-boxing fan would care more about the atmosphere and build up and the fight itself is more an excuse for a piss up, so they aren't too bothered if its a first round KO.
As a boxing fan, paying a small fortune to see it, I would expect they would be hoping for quality boxing. I would happily swap all the build up, hype and atmosphere to see both fighters being wobbled or even going down, Haye having Wlad in dire straits and forcing a late stoppage in an enthralling contest.
I also wouldn't hold out much hope for the quality being on the undercard unfortunately.

Could be worse, they could be laughing at you for walking up to Evander Holyfield and calling him Bernard

Chill out then, pal. Why do you care what other people think? There are better things to get pissed off about than your mates laughing at you for buying boxing tickets.
I know, mate, it was just a bit of a rant. I just tire of explaining why I don't consider it to be a waste of money.

What time is the fight?! Is for European audience or do we have to cater for the US?

If they where my missus, they'd be right disappointed, a 'round' includes me having a shower after and I'm still snoring inside three minutes.

I'd rather see 3 minutes of brutal action in an amazing atmosphere.. with an undeniable conclusion.
...that stand in the rain for 90 minutes, having drove 3 hours to get there - to see a 0-0 draw between two crap teams full of ludicrously overpaid charlatans.
