Which British boxer do you think will make the biggest impact / progression over the next 12 months? Or whose name will be more prominent this time next year.

I think Crolla will be on the verge of a world title shot this time next year if he gets the correct fights.

On the same note, who do you think will go backwards?! Up until Feb 2009, Arthur Abraham was a feared fighter but now his career is in the balance after three defeats.

if khan doesn't get by judah i can see him backsliding considerably.

same with degale if he doesn't get straight back in against a 'name' and win comfortably.

neither of the two above seem particularly popular with the public (i've no problem with either tbh) so they need to keep on winning (in khans case) or come back in an impressive style and silence the doubters (degale)...

as to who will improve their standings?

if haye beats the klits he'll be pretty much the top of the tree.....and if froch beats johnson and then ward his name will also ring out.

I think john murray will beat mitchell and become a house hold name in the next 12 months.
I think ricky burns will loose hes world title and then struggle at domestic leval in future.

Chisora could well get a world title crack before the years out if Wlad beats Haye, i think Burns will add the IBF title and John Murray will become a world champion in the next twelve months. IM going to go out on a limb a bit and say Brook will be a world champion too

Troy James could start making a noise on the domestic front. He should be looking at fighting for the British title at super-feather in around a year or so.

Murray should be making the more public step up, he's not done too badly and has a decent base but with W_rren behind him now and a big domestic dust up next month things can only get better (as long as he wins).

One thing that worries me a tad about Crolla is the weight. There is a video of him being interviewed on youtube saying he makes Super Feather very comfortably and was going to campaign at Featherweight. This was after the Brodie fight, his best result/performance at the time so it wasn't an excuse.

He's now campaigning at Lightweight, he has bags of skill and heart. I really rate him, but should he be at Super Feather at the very least.

I think this time next year Audley will have finally retired. I have a sneaky feeling Ryan Rhodes will be nearing the end of his career.

Murray will have defeated Mitchell and be in line for a world title shot along with Brook. Potentially a British blockbuster with Matthew Hatton could be a possibility.

I can't pick a winner between Chisora and Fury but I don't think it will be too detrimental to their careers whoever loses. I personally think both can bounce back.

I think Khan will be at a cross roads when he gets defeated by Judah!

works both ways mate, or at least it can do IMO.

a big part of his beating Watson was stamina, or watson's lack of it.

being 'natural'-ish at the weight, or at least not having to drain down as far as the bigger lads he faces at 135, may often mean he can set a quicker pace than the bigger 135lbers like Watson would be comfortable with

True, Gavin Rees being the prime example as a Light Welter. I'm just worried he will struggle in the strength. It sounded like he made Super Feather easy, so easy that he was considering a move down.

I am really impressed with him and hope he does the biz. I am a fan of his. Plus him staying away from SF, gives the other fighter who I expect big things from this year a crack at some domestic honours - Buckland.

i wonder if the talk of him going to 126 was a bit hollow- like his legs would have to be, if he ever tried getting down there
