Billy Dib to fight Jorge Lacierva-July 29 in Sydney

Aussie Featherweight, Billy "The Kid" Dib and his team have just announced that he will be fighting Jorge Lacierva (39-7-6) of Mexico on the 29th July, 2011 at the Sydney Entertainment Centre for the IBF Featherweight Title.

Good luck to him. I was a supporter there for a while but got turned off by his attitude. In any event, I still hope he does well and wins the title. His opponent has a pretty good record if you look at the fighters he has lost to. Should be a good fight

Talked to Billy earlier and he said that he's not sure bout tv deal. I'm thinking Fox or One HD as a wildcard. Gets announced tomorrow!

Trying to make any sense of how the alphabet boys rate fighters is about as enjoyable as herding cats.
They have sucessfully diluted the concept of "World Champion" to the level where it is now meaningless.

I agree mate, hopefully Billy can win the World title. For all the negative press he recieves Billy is a good young kid, with a hell of a lotof potential.

Tough but winnable fight for Dib. Lacierva looked good beating Beltran last time out.
