Spinks in the traditional sense, surely he inherited the mantle from the Mayorga-Forrest-Mosely lineage.

AAH but who will win between Spinks and Margarito?
Tough one - I'd pick Spinks (just).

Who has Margarito boxed and beat to deserve the No#1 possition (Six heads & Sergio Martinez).
Where as Spinks has beaten Mayorga who beat forrest (the man) who beat Mosley (the man) who beat Hoya (the man).He also beat Piccirillo.

My arguement isn't which one should be #1, but lets stick to one or the other.

I definately think that Spinks should be No.1, he did after all defeat Mayorga who was widely considered the previous ruler. Margarito has been making a more quiet approach "On the outside lane" so to speak, he beat a shop worn Antonio Diaz and a fragile Andrew Lewis who was already feeling sorry for himself after Mayorga blasted him out. Spinks was widely thought to have been jobbed out in Italy first time around against Michele Piccirillo so he went back and did the job again, add that to his Mayorga win and he is certainly the best Welterweight. Margarito really needs to get himself in the big fight mix soon, i was banking on Mayorga beating Spinks and then the obvious match was Mayorga-Margarito. But Spinks-Margarito will do instead, perhaps with the winner facing Mayorga?
