If Haye really wants to get under his skin, perhaps he should start selling copies of the t-shirt through his website... (although surely there would be a copyright issue for using their likeness for commercial purposes)?

RING heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko told the London media earlier this week that he was offended by David Haye's T-shirt, bearing the likeness of the severed heads both Klitschko brothers, and dared his rival to don the shirt again at a future press conference.

Klitschko is scheduled to fight the WBA beltholder on July 2 in Hamburg, Germany.

"The T-shirt business showing him with our heads off was totally stupid and ridiculous," Klitschko told David Anderson of The Mirror, a London-based newspaper. "He pissed me off as I don't want to see my relatives with their heads off.

"I strongly believe he feels really bad about it now, even if he says he has no regrets," the Ukrainian continued. "If he had no regrets he would wear that T-shirt one more time. But he doesn't want to wear the T-shirt, as he knows it was stupid. I know David Hay will hear what I have said, so I say to him, 'If you don't feel bad about it, put that T-shirt on at our next press conference.'"

No way did he overstep the mark. Even Emmanuel Steward found it amusing at the time as he admitted in an interview.

If I were Haye, I would wear it again at the weigh in as it would be guaranteed to get Wlad's blood boiling and that is exactly what Haye needs. A cool, cold and calculating Wlad spells disaster for Haye. He needs to get under his skin and this would be the best way.

Not at all. I think Klitchsko was only helping to promote their fight by saying he was offended.

It really was quite pathetic to be honest. Typical Haye. As has been demonstrated lately - David Haye isn't the brightest light on the Christmas tree ... so Klitchsko was saving Haye some face by going along with it.

It's a simple metaphor. They weren't offended they're just pissed they didn't think of it first.

No chance, it's pretty much sold the fight to the masses. If Haye had just gone about his business in the heavyweight division in a nice polite way he (& Wlad) wouldn't be earning anywhere near the amount he'll get next month

Its just a take on something like that, not pathetic in the slightest, and back to the OP certainly not overstepping the mark. People need to lighten up....

It's just hype. I doubt it bothered the brothers one bit. In fact I bet they found it pretty laughable really.

Maybe he could walk into the weigh in with the t-shirt on and holding hands with Hayden. That would really send Wlad wild!

Wlad must be a bit uptight to eVen give a shit, If he was smart as he likes people to think he is, he would have seen it as an orginal way to promote the fight between them a bit silly yes but it stood out. it must have been potent cos big man still can't get his head around it two years after the event...

No, I think it was a great stunt and a great t-shirt. People used to do a lot worse than this!

Exactly. It is over 2 years since Haye wore the t-shirt and it is still getting to Wlad therefore maybe it's time for Haye to come up with the same sort of insult the day before the fight at the weigh in. I'd be amazed if he didn't pull some sort of stunt.

I'm surprised haye hasn't cashed in on it and started selling the t-shirts for his fans to wear out in hamberg

I honestly wouldn't let it bother me like it has you, i'd see it for what is it. Think of it as a (as i said earlier) Clash of the titanesque, "i took on the giant brothers of nasty land and won" sort of statement, rather than the hate filled picture you seem to think it is.

It may also be that the 'Eastern Europeans' as you call them, have different humour/ views on things, but i'm pretty sure someone like vlad isn't honestly going to be bothered in the slightest by a t-shirt design...not in the slightest.
