Joe Louis was never much of a drinker in his life.
In late 1969 at a party in Las Vegas at Caesar's Palace Louis was introduced to Remy Martin brandy cognac,which he said he loved the taste of.
(It was the first alcoholic beverage he said he had ever had tasted, since finding half a bottle of"White Lighting"in the woods
when he was a kid in Alabama,he got drunk on it fell asleep under a tree were his mother found him,and told him the evils of drinking alcohol,
and he never drank any up until the age of 56 at the party at Caesars in 1969-1970.
