Joe Louis vs Ron Lyle: Week 4

Don Krease Promotions formally calls out The Owl and his fighter Ron Lyle for a fight against that bad man, Joe Louis.

Below is the speech from the Great Don himself:
"I am calling out The Owl... We want to start open negotiations with him for the prospect of Louis vs Lyle.
I seen the quote from this new comer, where he said
":
Owl wrote:Lyle will be the greatest of all the second picks and shall fight only second picks or computers.
"I ask you Owl, why limit yourself? You are offering your fighter nothing but a simple, bit-part career...
HE WILL NEVER BE A HEADLINER!!!!
When his manager adopts an attitude such as this. I say to you, that you are being negative for the sake of being negative.

The Owl and I both know Joe Louis is an exceptional athlete, but he aint unbeatable (Schmeling and Charles showed us that)...
Look at the possibilities;
If Lyle loses the fight, his record would not be diminished because Joe is a high-ranking fighter.
But if he wins, his ranking elevates him way up the rankings.

The Owl should really think about this, it's a risk... (But then every fight in this sim is a risk) but the rewards conclusively outweigh the perks.

Actually, this just might be right up The Owl's alley, an opportunity like this. One good result, no matter how fortunate could put him in line for a future world title shot.
No joke. And a scalp like Joe Louis definitely puts your name up there.
"

What will The Owl do?
Is wisdom a trait that he has inherited from his namesake?
Only time will tell.

stop it Owl, or you will tempt Crease to direct Norton to take the easy fight with Lyle, and run from Corbett....just for the satisfaction of sending Lyle to the canvas for some R&R

That is not the agreement. Joe Louis has already signed his part of the contract. We have focussed on Lyle, and Lyle is the man we want.
Owl wrote:Up to now Norton has fought only second picks of others so it makes perfect sense that your second go with my second. However you will duck that.
The only ducking has been from you. We have requested a fight and you have ran...
:shame:
And after all this "big talk" against BoxBuzz and myself, you prove to be nothing but another little rabbit running away from the juggernaut that is Joe Louis.

I am afraid that offer is not acceptable.

Because Mr. Buzz has called Lennox Lewis out for a fight against Rocky Marciano.
It would be morally wrong for us to involve ourselves with that dispute as it has nothing to do with us.
Please don't attempt to drag Joe into muck of your own creation.

However, you Mr. Owl have an opportunity here:
To prove yourself a worthy manager in the Sim.

Week 4: you could have the 2 big fights that most Managers would jump for:
Lewis vs Marciano
Lyle vs Louis

It's just makes sence... And more than that, it is the right thing to do.

Had you been paying attention old timer, you would have seen that fight would have been taking place in Week 4.
Our agreement is signed and in-place. Don Krease has never pulled out of a contract.
Not once. In all of his time here...

Except Buzz is actually fighting the dregs of the Sim. Louis has fought 2 first picks.... Big, BIG difference there.
