What is the way back in to the mix for Dallas southern area ? Next Prizefighter? any thoughts

Prizefighter but think Tom can come again at British level. Looking forward to Price v Mcdermott.

Retirement? Losing a fight? That is the problem now with boxing, one or two losses and clowns like you are saying retire. How about one or two losses, go away learn from them, improve and rebuild? Sad culture we live in right now.

That fight would result in a KO loss for one of them..Yes two KO losses before they reach British level would result in retirement,as im sure neither would fancy being cannon fodders for up&coming heavyweights...

Why does it? People don't say that losing football teams should knock it on the head when they lose a couple of matches. Why do they with boxing?

Footballers dont get knocked out when they lose do they....

Michael Sprott had three TKO losses and a PTS loss on his record before he fought Danny Williams for the British title the first time. He didn't retire. And whilst Sprott always just fell short at British title level, he's had a highly credible career, in my view.

I agree with what you wrote,Sprott has had a good career.I just cant see either hanging around if they lose.Just my opinion pal

I can see him in the next Prizefighter, he said on ringside he is in this came to make as much money as fast as possible. Prizefighter will give him that option.

He was never going to be world class and as a result he's in no worse position then he was before- if I had him maybe a couple of confidence builders then McDermott or the chisora fury loser

Why does everybody now quote prizefighter when a fighter loses?

Its become a poor competition for me, Dallas should stay well away.

Couple of confidence fights then Mcdemott or even Richard Towers??

imo this guy http://boxrec.com/list_bouts.php?human_ ... &cat=boxer is an idea next opponent for Dallas , positive record , something dallas hasnt got too many of on his own record , has been ko'd in a round by Danny Williams just a few months ago , would be a good confidence boost for Dallas in my opinion as he could potentially look at it as his best win so far on paper (record wise) , but in all fairness shouldnt be too much trouble for him , id epect it to be going no more than 2 rounds .

It very much depends how Dallas emotionally stands up to it, it was a crushing loss, the sort that makes you want to pack it in

A fight with Larry O would be great! The winner goes back onto title contention and the loser rebuilds. All the young Heavyweights can come again after a loss or 2.

A couple of 8 or 10 rounders to rebuild his confidence and then an area title or English title before an eliminator for the British or Commonwealth title I reckon.

It seems almost pointless to post because everyone is throwing up the same name, but... Larry Olubamiwo all the way for me.

He seems like a rational bloke. He knows he could still earn a good few quid from boxing.

There's still a future in boxing for Dallas, I wouldn't have him go into Prizefighter , I'd get him a couple of domestic fights. Maybe Danny Hughes would be a good one for him.

He shouldn't just be written off because of one loss to a fighter who looks very assured.

He should be positive and *learn* from this fight, but particularly the previous one against Zack Page (which he should have lost, too).

Then come back stronger.

It is often rightly said that too much emphasis is put on the '0' nowadays: don't write him off just yet!

Well he's kind of found his level for now after the struggle against Page and now this, but he's only, what, 25, and was doing well albeit against low-level opposition. He needs to go away, get in shape and get a few confidence building wins under his belt and see how he improves. Far too early to write him off after taking on a guy who is way ahead of him in experience and to be fair, talent, at just four days' notice.

Ultimately, it's down to how much Tom really wants it. A fighter who is telling his corner 'he's bored' like he supposedly did during the Page fight.... well you have to wonder.
