Haye-Klit predict the strategy

Booth says Haye will have a new strategy that the Klits wont have seen before....... obviously we can ignore all the pre-fight talk as its all just a bit of bluster which may have no bearing on the way the fight will proceed.
So how do you think Haye will fight? Does he have to go in quick and hard and try and catch Wlad with something big early before he gets into his "jab, jab, hold" rhythm or will Haye be able to stay on the outside and just burst in with a few quick bursts every round?
I think he will come out and play very cautious, circling on the outside and trying to frustrate Wlad for a few rounds. After 3 or 4, Wlad might be forced to move in and start taking the fight to Haye and this is where I think Haye could be dangerous as he can get some big shots off before retreating again.

I reckon he is going to throw a lot of fast punches and try and catch him early on and test his chin.
That way, he knows what kind of fight to fight. If Klitchko takes a big punch, he will be patient and try and work on the outside of the ring, leaving Wlad with centre ring. If Wlad is hurt, he will try and end it soon with some big shots

I agree.
In the past Haye has been very critical of Wlad's previous opponents all throughout his title reign, he said that the opponents were "made for him" and that they just stood in front of him and allowed theirselves to be picked off.
Now, I don't believe for 1minute that Haye is going to stand his ground, if that happens Wlad will pump out his jabs and take control of the fight, dictate the pace.
I think Haye will need to land flush early in the fight, make Wlad think about it... Whenever Wlad is rattled (as we've seen before) he becomes reluctant to step into the trenches.
I honestly think haye's best bet is to try and make it a brawl, Haye has a strong chin and that's gonna be tested against Klitchsko, but the main question si: Can Klitxhsko cope with Haye's power...

I'm certainly not one of the people that think he is glass jawed but I wouldn't say he has proved he has a strong chin at heavy. He certainly wont be relying on that to get him out of trouble v Wlad.

Feel each other out for a round or two and then Haye will TKO him

Wlad is one of the most cautious heavies out there, and for all his talk, so is Haye - in fact, at heavyweight, Haye is even more cautious than Wlad ( see Audley and Valuev. In fact, don't ).
It'll be the phoney war, until one of them lands something - I reckon it might be a Wlad jab that clatters Haye. He'll get up and start swinging, then it'll be over pretty quick: either he catches Wlad as he comes in to finish him, or more likely gets put to sleep himself before he can.

Haye has a strong chin!? WTF?! He's been decked by a 168 lber!
He hasn't got the worst chin, but to say it's strong is ridiculous. He's never taken a solid lick yet from a heavyweight, and certainly not one as big and hard hitting as Wlad. It's just as relevant to question what happens when Wlad tags Haye.

Haye walks across the ring, does a 3 step skip towards Wlad and punches him right in the fcuking earhole. The End!

Klit comes out to meet Haye
and Haye starts to retreat
If haye goes back any further
hell end up in the ringside seats
seriously now though i can see haye doing the usuall bit of backfoot stuff waiting for opertunity and fighting couple flurrys each round , haye can do it though although maybe points loss is what im thinking.
i did want haye to win and prob still do but i cant help but like big wlad as a gentleman

Haye will prowl around the outside looking for openings, much as he did against Valuev. Forget all the aggressive talk, Haye and Booth are pragmatists, they'll only go for a KO if it presents itself but the overall plan will be to try and nick it on points because they won't want to engage Wlad any more than they have to. Finding those openings won't be easy though. Everyone knows that Wlad's jab is hard to get past, but even harder is that lead left leg, his second line of defence, which opponents need to negotiate before they can even get close enough to attack. All in all a very difficult job for David, but he is good at exploiting openings when they present themselves so you never know.
Wlad will be happy to keep him on the outside with the jab and move backwards whenever Haye looks likely to attack — he has a fast reverse gear and a sharp enough brain to know when to use it. He will be thinking in terms of winning a boxing match too, points would suit him fine, but if David leaves himself open he's going to get severely punished for it.
A cagey, tense, intriguing rather than exciting fight, I reckon.

The pair touches gloves, Haye runs around the outside of the ring with the occassional bit of "scratching like a chicken". Booth nods sagely at ringside at his strategy, cooing "ooooh this is great, we have him where we want him". Wlad steps forward with a jab then fires an overhand right that knocks Haye spark out. It's the best Wlad has looked in years thanks to the way Haye tried to stink the place out.

Exactly.
Haye will fight on the outside, looking for counters/short burst of shots. It really couldn't be more obvious that that will be his gameplan.
Wlad will fight his usual jab jab jab (x100) right hand routine.
Haye will miss most of his shot and back away. Wlad will miss most of his jabs.
It will be a boring fight.
Both boxers will pick up 20 million at the end.

I agree up to this point. I think the entire contest will be a phoney war.

I don't think Haye will jump on Wlad early. Not unless he believes such a great risk is his only chance of winning.
I think Haye will use lateral movement, making sure he's never directly in front of Wlad. He'll throw hooks as he dances around to the side. I don't think he'll attempt to go under the jab as that's asking for trouble. He'll side-step the (very straight) jab and counter, imo; using angles as much as possible. He'll be very mobile and attempt to be very efficient with the punches he throws, as he always is.
How would Wlad adjust if someone continually side-stepped his jab? Is it possible?
It's all very intriguing. That's part of why I love boxing. I don't think this fight will be a war, but the tension will be awesome, and probably the ending as well, whomever wins.

I guess Haye will try and pot shot his way around the first 4-6 rounds and avoid any big shots, maybe sticking a few lead hands to the body. He'll be looking for counter shots, and won't be moving in straight lines.
Having seen a lot of Wlad fights, its clear Klitchsko will land with a right hand at some point, and I just don't see how Haye will be able to take too many of them.
Could be a boring affair until Wlad finishes it around 10.

Haye will fight cautiously and try to keep focused on winning the rounds, but he is definately going to want to test Wlad's chin early doors, so i expect some fireworks from him during the first few rounds. He bloody better catch that chin early on, because if he cant get Wlad out of there, or at worst off his gameplan, he's going to be entering into very deep water down the stretch.

What he said!!
I used to think Haye would go out all guns blazing, he won't - he will box cautiously and only open up if Wlad is hurt. Haye's speed may win him this fight rather than his power

It'll be a dull fight.
I expect them to all be wearing blue t-shirts.
He will need to throw some leather in order to win rounds and I'm not entirely convinced he's able to deal with the jab (any jab, not just Wlad's).

If I'd have been Booth I'd definitely have been working on getting inside big sparring partners and then ALLOWING them to use Wlad's normal gameplan of tying up and leaning on smaller opponents to screw in a hard uppercut. I'd be drilling that over and over and over with tall sparring partners. We all know Haye is fast enough to close the gap, we all know what Wladamir will do when he does. Get inside, allow him to hold, uppercut. Inside bodywork too. (And an elbow to the solar plexus if the ref can't see it.)
Also Wlad backs up really well when someone comes at him, because first they have to slip the jab and then punch. So they have to do two things to Wlad's one. So they slip, go to counter and already Wlad's moving back and out of range. You'd have to work on setting traps so that you're catching him AS he's throwing and not slipping first then throwing a punch, like all his opponents seem to do recently. You need to get the dude as he's coming forward and slip and punch at the same time, not slip then punch. Drill drill drill slip and punch, or parry and punch. But if you're slipping and THEN punching, you're f*cked with Wladamir.

I reckon David Haye will look to start fast digging into Wladimir K's body to slow Wladimir K down mixing it up with some with powerful hooks and upper cuts to the head looking to breach Wladimir's defence to try and test that chin. Haye will be all over him never giving Wladimir K a moment's rest to get his head clear and defences together.
