Tell you what. This Blackwell at 20 years old isn't bad. Potential there.
1-0 Blackwell.

Good second round. Close, but Murray takes it with landing the bigger shots.
19-19

I think Blackwells won all 3 rounds - can't believe he's an 8 fight novice.

I'd give him the third.
29-28 Blackwell
He's defo' going to reach British from what I've seen so far. Liking this fight!

Like Blackwell's attitude. Looks like Murray has too much for him though.

I think that round changed the fight Murray looked much stronger and I don't think Blackwell can keep going for 12 rounds.

Murray exerted himself on Blackwell in the 4th. Was like a tank.
38-38

I can see Murray stopping Blackwell between 8-10. Blackwell starting to look a bit tired.
edit: Actually I meant to say between the 5th and 6th round.
Blackwell will be back stronger from this. Was just too soon for him.

Cant believe it was evens on a Murray inside win
Blackwell showed plenty of heart but was gassed after 3rounds(good effort tho)
Looks like were only getting one live fight tonight

and the point of this opponent for Crolla was? (aside from padding Gallagher's and Crolla's record)

To push him up the WBA rankings I'd say. I think the original opponent pulled out a few days ago and would have been a tougher test. Can't remember exactly who it was but he was certainly better than the Belgian.
edit: original opponent was Osu Akaba who lasted the distance against Ricky Burns and Truscott a few years ago and has a win over Munyai on his record:

I went on Betfair before the fight and it was 1.67, didn't bother with it tbh wish I had now of course.
Murray did all that was expected he was far above the level and experience of Blackwell, it was genuinely man against boy.
Surprised some of you scored it so close, I gave Blackwell one round early and that was it, was just getting out-manned in there, got some pot shots off but that was about it.

Experience was Blackwells downfall. He started too fast, punched himself out. He seemed to think he was a young Mike Tyson at first, but with only 2 KO'S he should of slowed it down, thought about what he was doing.
He has massive bottle though and the will to fight which a few lads lack.
His trainer, never seen him before but they seemed very Amateurish in the corner. He needs rid of them, go to a more Proffesional set up in a Boxing City and he will come on leaps and bounds.

Glad to hear that Blackwell gave a good account of himself considering his level of experience - great example of where a young fighter learns far more from a defeat than if he'd faced a 'body' to protect his '0'.
Murray versus Smith seems a natural to me...

The Joe Murray v James Ancliff was quite good actually. Ancliff put in a cracking effort against the touted Murray. Shame it had a silly belt on the line, but it was a decent fight.
Martin Murray against Nick Blackwell was horrible to watch, to the point where it wasn't really sport. Blackwell was way, way out of his depth and the match was a bit of an insult to the Lonsdale belt.
Anyway, Martin Murray against Billy Joe Saunders would be superb. Either later this year or early 2012 to let Saunders get some more experience in, but I hope these two are matched soon and it doesn't slip away.

Both McEwan and Smith are quality match ups, but not necessarily the most exciting.
Saunders would bring some serious heat with his challenge and probably wouldn't look to spoil like the other two.
