He was probably the biggest disappointment of 2003. Maloney deserves a medal if he can bring him back..

I reckon that's a bit unfair.
Did fantastically well as a relative novice againt Farnell.
....Did not so well in his last fight.
It was a bitter sweet year overall.
I feared he could go off the Radar after his last outing, so i'm glad to see him fighting again so soon. There's no way he's made any sort money from boxing yet so good luck to him.

He can always use the "caught cold" angle.

Tell you what, I've no sympathy for him whatsover.
Ryan Rhodes is still getting slaughtered by all and sundry for a similar defeat against Matthews, and a poor display against Blundell, and maybe with some justification.
However, if you consider how long ago these defeats were, then boxers have to accept that mud sticks.
Elcock got floored end of shift.
Lockett got mullered end of shift.
Alexander got taken out. End of shift.
Live with it.

Why am I not surprised that Frank Maloney is quoted as saying this?

The man can literally turn words into shit.

Everything he says is utter bullshit and I (and I suspect many others)never take him seriously.

Wasnt Maloney the guy who when told of allegations against him replied, "I dont care what the alligators say"?
