Gavin Rees is fighting Derry Matthews for European lightweight title, Stephen Jennings his shecduled opponent has said.

Rees for me will have far too much for Matthews, but it should be decent fight

I think Derry is a better oppenent than Andy Murray,i favour Rees but i think both will have there moments&it will be a cracking fight

It`ll make for a lively fight as long as it lasts.

if rees boxes the way he did in the 2nd half of the murray fight he will be in alot of trouble against mathews!

I think Derry is looking good at the moment, so wouldn't surprise me if he caused an upset here.

I boxed Rees over 6 & the boy just don't stop throwing punches. I didn't think he was that great ability wise. He's had a few stamina probs lately so derry has to ride the early storm. If he does, who knows. I don't think he's gonna stay with Gavin tho. Rees all day long for me!

Will be interesting if derry can ride the early storm and get into the second half of the fight.

Derry is the better skilled boxer, and Rees will come out past, but Derry can also bang and think he will stop Rees late on or win on points, think Derry is underrated on here, I know he had a few bad loses, but since moving up to lightweight looks better for it

At 9 stone 9 mathews has not been beat, and is geting better with every fighter under oliver harrison, i think its his time and he will pull of the upset and beat rees

Both of you both deserve an awful lot of credit for taking such dangerous fight! I'll guarantee this fight is a classic for however long it lasts! Both have come on leaps and bounds IMHO

This will come down to fitness and desire.

Rees might run outta steam in the 2nd half of the fight if it lasts that long. He could stop derry in the first half. Should be a cracker.

Any news on the under card yet ??

Not with Lockett behind him it isn't....

Rees TKO late, though it will be a war at times and Mathews will have his moments IMO
