Yeah Reed wobbled on the ropes ref stepped in.

I was ringside for this one. Reid got better as the fight went on and in the fourth (I think) he landed four or five clean left hands in quick succession, which stunned Reed, and the ref jumped in. I think Reed was a little miffed with the stoppage but Reid was teeing off at will and could have really hurt Reed.

I was there too & your right Rob was a bit off with his timing in the first, but then he started going through the gears & Reed was only going to get a lot more punishment.

does this mean the reaperman wont retire just yet then?

Problem with fighters like Rob is that he's a big fan of the limelight, didn't make a super amount of money (he told me he's not coming back for money but it helps pay a few bills) and is still in very good nick for his age. He's got a proper fighter's mentality and would take anyone on believing he can win.

Totally agree - would love to see him have one last turn in the sun and put up a decent show before hanging them up for good.

i agree with that, if i thought he could compete at a decent level (British/commonwealth etc) i wouldnt mind. its not an age thing, i still watch hopkins and holyfield. this is one of those things the board needs to get a grip of. Botha just as famous IMO as reid and in better nick but was denied but all these eastern europeans and africans who are worse than reid and botha being accepted to fight against superior opponents

Reid was in amazing condition. In fact he was chiselled not often that you see 40 year olds in that shape.
