mann .. im the daughter of jimmie paul "the ringmaster" and over the years my dad has told
me alot of greedy stories of what emanuel steward has did to him; close friend milton
mcCory and uncle in law tommy hearns & others .. smh i thinkk its wrong . back then they didnt
have many fancy lawyers by their side and didnt have much legal advice . emanuel steward nearly
raised them and its bad that he took advantage of them. but personally my dad has
gotten the worse part of the bargain.. i can go on and on about these timess...

Sad to hear about that Jimmea, your Dad was a very good fighter and you should be proud. What's Jimmy up to these days?

He's just in Real-e-state .. doing pretty good.. making more money then he did in boxing . iwish he gotten farther . he had plenty potential . but he couldnt get thosee unionification fights .that he wanted like with camacho . (camacho was scared) ..

Whilst we didn’t get to see too much of Jimmy Paul over here in the UK I used to read all about him in the magazines. I seem to remember him being on the cover of KO magazine.

From the videos I’ve seen he was a really accomplished boxer, very skilful. But I also read that he was a very decent man outside of the ring. It was a big shock to me when he lost the title. I thought he’d reign for quite a long time. The lightweight division was choc-a-bloc with talent back then so holding one of the titles was testament to his ability.

Haugen was a good fighter but the scores were close and I’d have expected Jimmy to have got a return. Either he didn’t get the break he should have or maybe Jimmy was struggling to make the lightweight limit???
