The immediate boxing future of Herbie Hide will be decided on February 4 when he is summoned to appear before The Board.
Hide, 32, was fined £750 by Norwich magistrates after he admitted being in possession of an offensive weapon, a 10-inch kitchen knife, when police were called to a disturbance at a nightclub in the city before Christmas.
Now, he could face a suspension of his boxing licence if the board decides his behaviour was contrary to that expected of a professional boxer or something which is deemed to have brought the sport into disrepute.
After his involvement in a near riot at York Hall, Bethnal Green, last year, following Audley Harrison's fight against Matthew Ellis, Hide was fined £1,000 and warned about his future conduct. It's a warning he clearly hasn't heeded.
