is on right now........i thought id started a thread about this. its absorbing. tel lawless was a prince of a man.....much like his protege frank bruno.....is anyone else watching it on Sky Sport 1 right now?

I thought the previous one with calzaghe and collins and richie was fantastic as well.

Id love to see one with Newbon, Benn,Eubanks and Watson thrown in. And than another one with the same 3 plus collins and herol graham cos lets face it even a one hour special would not be enough for the amount of stories these guys have to tell.

Its such a fascinating concept I think adam smith should consider letting gary newbon do a whole series of say 6 parts just on boxing. u could 6 parts as follows:

benn/eubanks/watson
bruno/lewis/witherspoon (would have said gary mason sadly that isnt possible now)
honeyghan/maurice hope/errol christie
Minter/hagler/sibson
thompson/nelson/andries

It was good to watch, you get the same if you talk to them guys anyway, but not as watered down as was last night,

Good programme, really enjoyed it. Lawless was about long before I became an anorak, so I don't know much about him, but it seems as though he treated his boxers like they were family and looked after them really well.

There are quite a few ex boxers with not so great stories to tell about the cartel.
