I have. Not sure which one, I live up north east so Westgarth appeared on Fightnight. (down south it was called Seconds out) I think the prog was by matchroom but might be wrong. The very first fight I saw live was John Westgarth vs Dave Garside at the Mayfair in Newcastle. I cannot transfer VHS to dvd as I do not posess a player/recorder.

If anyone can recommend a good piece of kit that i can plug my VHS into my pc and transfer them over I can do the job. I have over 2500 fights from the 80's to mid 90's on VHS.

If you see him before Saturday, will you ask him who he thinks will win the Dolan-Dickinson fight on Sunday, which is being billed as the biggest all North East fight since Garside-Westgarth. I'm writing an article on Sunday's fight, it'd be nice to get his input. ;;-)

I have lots of real cracking fights, most of the domestic scene from the 80's most of the Fightnight series that was on Tyne Tees TV. Then when Satallite tv appeared early on and Screensport was the big station for boxing then, also TV2000 which was german and had all the big fights, but with german commentary. All I need is a scart lead of some sort that connects to VHS recorder and to my pc then I can get them all off.

Mate, just walk into Currys or whatever the big electric place is near you and tell them you want something with a USB connection to go from a VHS player to the PC encoding as it goes.

There are loads of devices eg:

Then upload the best to WBVA

I thought he would favor Dickinson - Dolan is managed by Dave Garside.

Seriously though mate, tell him I said thanks for the comment.

the video conversion isnt coming along. I will have to go and find some sort of kit that will do the job.

I have a box full of vhs in the attic. and I bet some fights no one has also. im trying to think whats there that no one will have. How about barry McGuigan v Jim Mcdonnell? bloody hell its been so long I cant think whats there.
