Help with boxer's name

Looking for a boxer nicknamed Panama, already dead, that must have fought in the 60's or so. Anybody knows?

Sorry, vague clues given by my mother who called me to know if I knew of that boxer. She's reading a bio and it's the guy's father. He never knew him, that's all he could say in the book. Tought someone might know.
