Did anyone else see the interview with Booth outside the hotel today on Sky News Channel?

I wasn't paying full attention but I'm sure Booth said something like "Davids legs wouldn't work during the 2nd half of fight" and seemed to indicate it may have been from a big shot he took halfway through. This was separate from the toe injury and he later said "whether it was the toe or the legs not working" or words to that effect.

Apologies if I've got this wrong but I'm pretty sure that's what was roughly said.

Did anyone else hear this? What are the thoughts? Why would your legs not work for such an extended period even from taking a shot?

This isn't a dig at Booth. I thought he was very honest. Just thought it was a very strange/interesting comment.

It didn't re-occur to me until he was going down again and again under Klitschko's clinches, leading me to believe he'd injured his right knee. Turns out I got the right side, but wrong body part. I doubt it would have made any difference, but I wish now I'd have acted on the thought and put a little cash down..

I guess due to his two previous 'injury' withdrawals against Wlad and Vitali there was no way he could have pulled out of this fight even with a 'legit' injury this time which was a shame as his task was already hard enough if he was 100% let alone going into it with a damaged toe.

Also hindsight is a wonderful thing but maybe they should have bulked him up closer to the 16st weight he came in against Ruiz rather then the 15st he came in against Audley. Just having that added weight may have added power to his shots and not been as easy to be manhandled by Wlad.

Less than a minute later in the same vid he mentions he isnt injured and is in great shape.

Haye has no class at all. Excuses,excuses

A boxer is not going to reveal he's injured before a fight, it gives the other camp confidence. The most they'll ever say is, Froch-style, that they're carrying some bumps and niggles into the ring. I do agree that Haye's rushing to reveal his toe and make excuses after the fight confirms his severe class deficiency.

There are no excuses, only reasons. Forget about what ifs. Haye lost, and that's that.

Bang on. After all his talk it was frankly embarrassing to blame it on his toe, injury or not. Imagine Holmes or Ali or Holyfield doing that???

Haye had a knee strapped up against Audley and no-one made anything of it.

At the end of the day he got beat, end of and should show a bit of class instead of banging on about it.

I'm pretty sure mike tyson had his big toe nail ripped off when his opponent stood on mikes foot during the fight,tyson won the fight

Holmes went into the Norton fight with a muscle tear in his right bicep, and still went 15 rounds in an absolute war with a top level fighter, winning. That's one of the components that makes a top fighter.

If Haye was in that much pain then why was he sprinting around so much? Surely it would have made more sense to stay in range and keep his head movement, he'd have had more chance of being tagged, but conversely he would have had more chance to land.
