Assuming he decides to fight on............

I have the feeling that the last thing Haye wants to think about is having to go through a long, possibly laborous process of rebuilding himself. If he's going to fight on i'm sure he will be hell bent on taking the fastest possible route back to the top, not only to get himself back in contention to fight a Klitschko, but to get himself the exposure and respect he so loves and the money that comes with it.

Could Booth deliver that for Haye within two fights, i'd give Golden Boy a far better shot at it.

We all know Scheafer would love to sign him, he's still waxing lyrical about Haye even after his defeat to Wlad. In signing with Golden Boy it could be the perfect express route back to the top. I'm sure they'd offer him a lucrative contract and do a very good job of promoting him stateside. There's obviously the feeling that Haye would not turn his back on Booth after all these years, but perhaps they could work out a co-promotional deal?

Scheafer has mentioned the likes of Arreola in the US as his possible comeback fight. It would be the perfect return IMO, Golden Boy has HBO in their pocket, an impressive win on the back of a solid promotion would put him right back on the map. That could easily be followed up by a showdown with Adamek which would get big exposure both stateside and in Europe (Adamek is a great fighter, but he's WIDE open and i'd give Haye a good chance of smashing him to bits and looking spectacular in the process). With two impressive wins and the right sort of promtion Haye could find himself right back in the picture in as little as 8 months or so.

Of course there's plenty of tangibles, but worthy for discussion i think.

At least Schaefer seemed to notice there were two people in the ring on Saturday night and neither of them blew anyone away with their performances.

Adamek is tailor made, small, short reach, durable, but lacks big firepower.

Arreloa, although smaller than Haye, is not much so, and is incredibly durable and brave, and still young, could see him outlasting Haye and taking him out late.

The Arreola/Adamek route would be perfect as far as I am concerned. Haye has looked dull in his two main heavyweight fights against Valuev and Klitschko. He needs a spectacular performance and I could see him destroying Arreola who is slow and ponderous whilst Adamek (who stands almost no chance against Vitali in my opinion) is smaller than Haye and would provide an exciting fight which would be very winnable for Haye.

I think he needs to forget all of this silly retirement talk and get back to basics. Lose the entourage who seem to follow him around like flies around shite, stop appearing on all of the tv shows and acting like the big celebrity, stop the trash talk and get back to what he used to do best as a cruiserweight and that is knocking people out and providing spectacular performances in the ring.

My fear for Haye is that he may not be able to motivate himself to go this route. As with anyone in life, a step down can be very difficult when you have been near the top of the mountain but, for me, it is the only way he can go. An immediate fight with Vitali or rematch with Wlad would be disasterous.

Arreola is all wrong for Haye. Throws 10 times more punches (literally), never gets tired and certainly isn't getting hurt by Haye.

Then you factor in Arreola's power and combinations. He'd finish Haye's career.

So Arreola loses to Adamek, who can't punch but is busy, granted. He never hurt Adamek or anything.

Haye punches faster and harder than Adamek, but with less volume and gone the distance with Wlad, taking some fast, solid shots on the way, not being dropped or even wobbled.

Yet you somehow believe that a) Haye can't hurt Arreola, who is slow and pedestrian in comparision and b) Arreola finishes him off, with his power and combinations, no less.

Haye has the power and speed to beat Arreola convincingly. Arreola wont get near him and be taking hard shots, for his troubles.

Arreola is not Wlad.

Watch the 4th round of that fight. Adamek was hurt.

I had that fight as a draw anyway. And Arreola was 20 pounds heavier than he is now. Plus, Adamek is a better 'boxer' than Haye. He was able to stay elusive for a lot of that fight.

And for the record, Haye took 9 rounds to finish a semi-retired John Ruiz off. There's nothing to suggest he'll be able to stop Arreola. Honestly, Haye is so overrated it's quite unbelievable.

I would love to see Haye fight some guys like Arreola, Adamek, Chambers, Povetkin, etc. etc. I don't think anyone should be acting like Haye is so far above these guys that they all get blown away easily. Fights against opponents who aren't 6'7" + could provide a lot more fireworks.

We've all see what Haye does against guys than can hurt him. It makes for a less than entertaining fight.

Not saying that at all.

I don't think, based on his performance against Wlad, that all of a sudden, the likes of Arreola now 'will finish his career'.

If Adamek beat Arreola, and he did beat him, Haye has just as much chance of doing the same with his speed and power. His volume might not be there, like Adamek, but he has more power, so that balances that out.

To argue now that because of his loss to Wlad, a completely different fighter, who is faster, more powerful and posses much better boxing skills than Arreola, he now somehow losses badly to Arreola.

That's just stupid.

Styles make fights. Wladimir Klitschko represents bad match for every fighter in the division right now.

Arreola, specifically, represents a bad match for David Haye. Someone who isn't intimidated by Haye and has a high punch output will beat him.

I can see your logic, but I'd definately fancy Haye over Arreola.

Haye vs Adamek, is a much more difficult fight.

He's already with Golden Boy

I want to see Haye v Harrison 2, imagine the pre-fight talk about destiny, being sensational and greatness. Hopefully Dave TV would pick up the rights.

Haye has his own company Haymaker promotions, i did not see Golden Boy promotions or any of their reps involved in the build up to the Wlad fight.

If he is already with Golden Boy, what exactly does that mean, what sort of association do they have going on?

A draw, who are you kidding.

The judges scorecards were some of the most rediculous i've seen in a long long time. Adamek dominated Arreola from start to finish, anybody who had it even remotely close has no idea on how to score a fight.

I think its all to do with fighting abroad.
Hayemaker cannot Promote in the USA hence the arrangement with Golden Boy.
I would think his link up is similar to that between Hatton Promotions and Golden Boy.
