Nice article. Arnie is a top bloke, he was also a quality fighter and just wish him all the success as a trainer.

I've heard he's more of a fairy.

Good article, Geezy. Always thought highly of Arnie and I really enjoyed reading that.

Good piece - one question; what was Ali Shah doing to wind up Ronnie Heffron in sparring?

This and that. Ali seemed a character. Too showy in his fight on Sunday, though.

Got a Tweet from Arnie. He liked it, not a lot, but he liked it.

He's a warlock.
Didn't know Ali had a fight on Sunday? How he get on?

Ali has got talent but where his brother and I disagree is the difference between his potential (considerable) and the level he is at now.

@Danfoster i agree with the level you say Ali is at he still needs wins under his belt and needs to keep active and he has potential like alot of other good prospects my view is he is very good I'm biased obviously but hopefully he can show you guys with each fight he will improve.. Ali did nothing to annoy Ronnie both had a good spar from what Ali said and Ronnie did well and just as mr farnell said Ronnie is very talented just needs to not go looking for a knockout just needs to pick his shots and he will keep improving Ali enjoyed his session with Ronnie and both look to spar I'n the future..

Steve wood has said I'n the forum he will be matching Ali up tough next fight out he's been inactive for 15 months and last time he fought he was inactive he fought Andrew Patterson he stopped I'n second round after a year lay off and Andrew always gives a good account of himself I'n every fight and he didn't trouble ali once..

Ali is I'n a good place right now Steve woods is the right person and has helped ali get active and will be looking to get him out again and ali has been sparring with top guys so it's a brilliant move for him after four half years I'n Sheffield..

So have alot of other prospects :) he can't win with you guys if he aims and wants to fight guys like adnan amar and people I'n top 25 he's not done anything and aiming to high if he gets a fight with a journeyman then you still complain main thing he's getting active that's all that matters tough fights will come if his manager wants and Steve woods said the next fight will be someone tough.. So let's wait and see?

that's a fair point to be honest - i havent got a problem with Ali boxing a few journeymen to get himself moving again. he's needs rounds and fights under his belt.

To be fair on Patt it was a corner retirment due to a bad eye , but Shah was boxing well to be honest

From what I've seen of Andrew Patterson he is a very tough game guy and he can be dangerous i seen some hooks fly past ali and good thing he made him miss and pay but yh ali landed some nasty uppercuts to open him up and had to retire I'n second round.. When Ali was doing his walk out with me a few ppl were saying he's tough watch out but ALi took it I'n his stride from a year out and no trainer I'n his corner i think it was Daniel Thorpe doing his corner and Tyrone nurses dad did his wraps which was nice of him to do.. But yh Andrew was alot better than Carl Allen but no disrespect he has experience and took ali to points but Ali needs proper tough fights on paper to motivate him and that's when he will improve and show more class..
