Bar PBF and PAC - who are the foreign fighters/fights you would actually Pay to view (PPV)?

Is boxing suffering? The answer may be in this thread.

I mean fights you are happy to pay.

Easy Sergio Martinez would be no 1 to pay for he's exciting and fights ppl in there pre not like them 2

I might not have gotten into boxing if Benn v Eubank II had been on PPV, as my dad wouldn't (and still doesn't) pay for fights out of principle. Wouldn't have seen the fight, wouldn't have fallen in love with the sport.

I was thinking about this just this afternoon, although I didn't restrict myself to just foreign fighters.

Fights I'd be happy to pay for....there's not many.

Floyd v Manny - yep, no question
Floyd v Amir / Manny v Amir - Interesting from a UK point of view, especially if Khan can establish himself at 147
Ward v Froch - Of all the potential match-ups, I'm itching to see this one as the culmination of the Super 6 and the crowning of the undisputed best at 168
Haye v Vitali - Even after the Wlad fight, I'd happily stump up for this one.

And that's about it. There are certainly fewer superstars that demand PPV in their own right - Sergio Martinez is fantastic to watch but has no great competitive challenger around his weight at the moment. The likes of Nonito Donaire, Yuri Gamboa, Brandon Rios, Victor Ortiz are exciting but not worth £15 in their own right. I'd be unhappy if we're charged for Manny v Marquez as I see that as a pretty uncompetitive fight at whichever catchweight Roach insists the fight is made at. Cleverley v Hopkins is a fight I'd probably pay for if it's shown at a sociable hour, but not at 4 am (same applies to Khan v Judah).

Mayweather v Ortiz is an interesting one as that is the same night as DeGale fights for the Euro title - can pretty much guarantee that we'll be sold a PPV with DeGale headlining a UK leg of a double header. If both undercards are decently stacked (with competitive fights) I can see me being another £15 poorer.

In a time where there is an economic downturn, I think it is less and less reasonable to charge PPV for things when people are stretched paying big subsciptions for Sky Sports as it is.

Why should ANY fight be PPV? There's never been PPV in football , why? Because there would be such a public outcry that the very existence of SKY would be jeopardised.
If nobody took PPV ,then SKY would have to have a rethink.
