That is one of my all time favourite fight, it really is man. Talk about having heart and comitment!! Both guy basically just went to town!earsjohn wrote:I've just switched on to Earl v Katsidis. Wherever this channel has come from, it gets my vote. Its the proper original ITV coverage too, not some shonky dubbed footage.
This was also one of my favourites, I remember telling my missus that I couldn't have dinner with her parents because I needed to get some sleep for my night shift, and went upstairs to watch the Earl vs Katsidis instead. Best decision I've ever made!DougieC30 wrote:That is one of my all time favourite fight, it really is man. Talk about having heart and comitment!! I Googled it and the search results just brought up questions similar to yours on different forums. It has just appeared out of the blue but I'm not complaining!Alex wrote:Thanks for the tip-off. I caught the last couple of bouts (though I'd seen 'em before). Looks very promising and great for a free-be. Boxing repeats 8pm-10pm every evening according to the schedule.
Does anyone know anything more about this mystery channel?

I'll look out for that one.
Very possibly. David Payne was talking to Francis Warren about it on Twitter last night, he might be able to tell us more.MachoMan09 wrote:Maybe Warren has started the channel. Is he 'fit and proper'?
Wouldn't surprise me if it was FW Promotions.JamesH wrote:Just thinking about this.... were these all SN events? If so, when they folded, I'm sure their assets (including rights to the fights) were sold off. Wonder who purchased them??

Sounds about right, THOUGH not sure how Joe C as a creditor wouldn't have got first shout??Wake up call wrote:I'm told - and I don't how true this is - that the rights for SN shows were going begging and both Joe Calzaghe and Ricky Hatton were interested in buying their own fights, but ultimately they were all purchased by FW Promotions.
He sold all of his and Jim Jacobs back library which is huge......and begs the question why do ESPN UK feed us the same rumble in the jungle or Ali-Frazier 3 or Tyson early fights all the time....would be nice to see something interesting and unusual like they had in the USA when ESPN Classic first started over there.Jon Saxon wrote:Sounds about right, THOUGH not sure how Joe C as a creditor wouldn't have got first shout??Wake up call wrote:I'm told - and I don't how true this is - that the rights for SN shows were going begging and both Joe Calzaghe and Ricky Hatton were interested in buying their own fights, but ultimately they were all purchased by FW Promotions.
Bill Cayton did a huge deal with espn years back for his enitire back catalouge.
He had most of the Tyson fights and all the old B&W too.
