i have been a big critic of franks in the past, but this weekend he has delivered a fantastic non ppv boxing extravaganza.
reatively even fights x 4
some of the ppv fights this last year have been absolute shite.

It is a very good card and I am delighted but it is a bit ridiculous that we think its so amazing that we get a good card that is not a PPV, considering the money we all pay every month for SKY and SKY sports.

thats taken from ladbrokes, theres only one so called 50/50 fight on this card and thats the murray fight and even then id have it 70/30 in murrays favour.

The card is good but is all we should expect, Sky pump so much money into other sports (mainly football) though and leave boxing as the poor relation on the fringes in my opinion.

Only 1 fight (Murray vs Mitchell) looks reasonably even, but I do agree that it's a good card. None of the opponents are turning up to lose and 3 of them are proven at domestic level. Well done, Dean Powell.

bellew will stop him for sure, cant c ovils performance being any better than first time round if he was going to beat tony it was then his chance has been and gone, tony stops him in 6 for me.

Agree with the consensus, it is a good card but it is what we should be expecting. I would say there are two relative even fights - I'm finding it more difficult to pick between Cook and Burns than most.

I failed to see the controvesy between McKenzie and Bellew last time... okay I tell a white lie, I disagreed with the stoppage, but I had Bellew leading at the time of the stoppage - I know the judges didn't but McKenzie had shot his bolt... only one winner from about the 6th.

No disrepect, but Woodhouse has lost to guys that Gavin didn't lose a round to, just how is this an even fight. Its a backward step for Franke compared to Mutley and Lomax... plus the weight issue stacks things further in Gavin's favour.

agreed bellew had his measure.

and gavin should deal with woodhouse in style if he's any sort of world class prospect.

Betfred are doing treble specials..Burns,Bellew&Murray are 11/10 for all 3 wins..il be having a bit of that

I went to the hair dressers the other day , paid my £5 and amazingly she managed to shave the whole lot. Not one tuft left.

Is your point that a matchmaker should be congratulated for making matches - even those when the opponents share the same promoter?

Which of these would have been difficult to make, exactly?

And Jeff, yes - well done Susan Murray for providing the service which she presumably advertises and for which you paid a pre-agreed fee!

Whilst I'm on, can I congratulate my local Chinese takeaway for handing over a special fried rice last night for the stated sum of £4.40!

Sorry to be sarky, Asterix, but, as has also been said, it shows the sh1t sandwiches boxing fans are used to eating when a few reasonably interesting matches are made (most of which still have really heavy favourites) and people are congratulating those involved and saying how wonderful it is that it isn't PPV.

I wasn't congratulating. I just said well done for putting a decent card together. I'd be very happy to say well done every week.
