A biography of former British , European , and Empire lightweight champion , Dave Charnley will be launched over the weekend 3/4 September .
Dave fought twice for the world title losing at Earls Court to Joe Brown on a disputed decision . Terry Lawless said that he was the best British boxer , never to have won a world title .
Former fighters Bob Paget , Larry O'Connell , Terry Rees ,Derry Treanor, Sammy McCarthy and Brian Curvis provided assistance for the book . Former head football writer for the Daily Express, Norman Giller, has done the foreward .
