What a top performance to hand Murray his first defeat.
Murray showed an excelent chin and heart to walk forward the whole fight, I do think that Murrays vision had a big part to play with being knocked out, both eyes were more or less swollen shut.
Mitchell showed excellent skill, and did really well to take what Murray dished out and still come back at him for the knockout.
Props to both men for saving a fight card that was headed for the shitter.
Thoughts guys on who Mitchell should go after next, and can Murray be the same fighter after having his cloak of invincibilty taken from him.

I think he deserves 2 or 3 easier fights to keep the sharpness after such a tough fight (in the first 5 rounds anyway). Credit to him for stepping up a gear and boxing to orders as well - a class act!

I think he deserves 8 more topics about him.

No way the better the Opponent the better the mr mitchell, he was outstanding on sat. A really like Kevin Mitchell on sat it just reminded me how much a love to watch him box this could be big times for kev he s been through a lot and he's fought the demons which am sure he's fed up of people bringing them up but that's life. A would love to see him fight katsidas in this frame of mind. If your watching Kev keep entertaining us mate

Excellent perfrormance from Mitchell. I didn't think he's be able to pull it off, but he put in an excellent performance

The fight restored my interest in Boxing a little to be honest,and the way that they both behaved before and after was really classy.
Absolutely loved Mitchell"s work on the inside,really ripping those uppercut"s through the guard,then away.

This was indeed a restorer of the faith ! I Loved every second. Mitchell is pure class and deserved this victory over a very good and strong opponent in Murray.

Bring on the rematch againgst Katsedis but agree he deserves a few easier warm ups before this happens. Well done Kevin

Kevin was a class act' best fighter in Fwink stable by far' he saved the show' brill fight loved it' well done Kev.

Mitchell's performance was spectacular .He conducted himself superbly before, during and after.

Murray gave it a damn good go and until the end of the 7th round the fight hung in the balance IMO. I thought Murray had gone backwards in his fight prior to this and still believe that to be the case. He's not with the right promoter IMO.

A massive glory night for Mitchell who must take huge credit for registering his best win to date in a truly pulsating battle.

I think it will make him a better and more disciplined fighter having that cloak of invincibility taken away and suffering that defeat...As has showed against Murray.

Had mitchell winning but not in that fashion!

Good win for Kevin. I tipped Murray to win, so it was somewhat a surprise, but Kevin fought well.

Unfortunately Murray got completely exposed when he stepped out of the comfort zone that his old promoter put around him.

Joe Gallagher and Murray himself consistently called out every fighter in the division! They went to Warren for big fights and got one in which he was a favourite fighting a guy with personal problems coming off a loss! Not Meaty Micks fault, he just got beat. Shit happens.
