Prescott is very limited and not the big hitter he is made out to be. I think McCloskey has enough boxing ability to win a decision, but if he wants people to take him seriously as a world title threat he must also be impressive in victory.

I have a really sneaky feeling Prescott will win this.

Decent match-up and think McCloskey can win a comfortable points decision.

Prescott for me

It's a decent match up. Prescott can bang no doubt he's very limited but he should give McCloskey some problems.

Ooooh, good fight.

Hard to pick. Prescott does have something and he is a mystery. We know McCloskey is European level at the moment, but I don't quite know where Prescott is. 5/6 odds I expect for each fighter.

How did Prescott even get himself into an eliminator?

Is he the highest ranked fighter that the WBA haven't already given a belt to? Given the number of belts they're prone to dish out, he's probably barely in their top 20.

McCloskey did absolute zip in 6rds versus Khan to be mentioned as a Top 10 Light welterweight and the cut saved him the embarrassment of losing every round in a UD decision. It's a joke that him and his team were saying their gameplan was to catch Khan late when he got tired especially as Amir's one great strength is his stamina and endurance in fights.

Although Bredis isn't Top 5 world class and is fairly limited he still has too much for someone who is merely above average and a spoiler like McClosky so Prescott wins this pretty comfortably for me around 8rds to 4, having said that Paul may get the nod in a controversial decision seeing as it's in Ireland.

Just to add, Bredis is a bit better then some people seem to think and is more then just a power puncher, he does have a decent jab, speed and good footwork but is just a bit too wild with his punches and telegraphs them too much. His 2 losses to Miguel Vazquez(now a world champion) and Kevin Mitchell don't seem so bad now either especially as he performed pretty well in both.

If McCloskey uses the same hands down, with sort of leaning head movement he's going to get clocked in a big way. Prescott will throw repeated wild hooks at a good speed and eventually one will connect.

Yeh I looked at Vazquez's record and thought, "oh the guys has 3 defeats he can't be that good". Then I looked who to, twice to Saul Alvarez and once to Tim Bradley!

This will be a very close match-up, McCloskey is no speedster so could struggle to stay away from Prescott's bombs.

McCloskey will thrash him.... either very wide on points or late stoppage.

Prescott will win. McCloskey will be too negative.

I presume this is an eliminator for the normal WBA Belt which is to be contested by Maidana and Guerrero next month. Khan is the "Super Champ" now or whatever the feck they call it.

I like this fight. Prescott is too highly thought of in my opinion, decent boxer but very beatable by fringe world level guys like McCloskey. Kevin Mitchell showed how Prescott can be beaten. I think McCloskey sees Prescott's punches coming all night and counter-punches his way to a decision victory.

I think McCloskey will win but I find him pretty boring, to be honest. He will outpoint Prescott.

Great fight. But Im afraid Prescott will level him.

I think this will be an ugly fight but expect McCloskey to win on a close points decision.

Agreed I don't think he's ready for such a big step up yet, very much doubt this one will happen yet.
