not sure but there doesnt seem to be too many over 40 imports

I don't think there is i remember Dean Powell talking about it a few years ago,(2000) I think it was to do with the Super Featherweight Affif Djelti when he came over to fight Charles Shepherd, they were talking about his age and whether he should be aloud to box/medicals ect ect

Even if it did exist, it would soon go out of the window if B-Hop wanted to come over, for instance.

Someone suggested they did when the Botha was turned down, but I could never find anything that supported this.

Age was a factor with Botha but he was mainly turned down due to wear and tear he had accrued over his long career.
Holyfield would get turned down too.

It's to do with their insurance policy. If a fighter is a recognised world champion and active they would allow it. When the fighter could be considered 'an acident waiting to happen' the the Board don't want the liability which is right.

I don't think Holyfield would be allowed in.

They said Tyson wouldn't because of his convictions. In the end money talked and he was permitted.

I'd be surprised if they turned down Holyfield personally.

He's the WBF Champion and the board have sanctioned WBF title fights before.

I know Holyfield is miles past his prime, but I'd rather he fought someone of Fury's quality than get in there with Wladimir.

I don't think Holyfield is an accident waiting to happen.

I mean, he's pretty much beyond shot but is still capable of being competitive and indeed successful at a certain level.

If we allow fighters like Polakevic and Tolhstis in to fight Olympic medallists when realistically they'd struggle with a pub drunk I think Holyfield should be allowed to box here.

The board have made some good decisions, preventing Earl from fighting Katsidis again being a good example. Now I hope they start on the journeymen that aren't ever competitive - they don't do the sport any favours.
