To me i don't think Derek really seems too interested in boxing he seems to be more interested in selling cars and business. Even when he lost he didn't seem to be overly concerned by that and within the fight he just looked like at some points he couldn't be bothered to fight. Now im not hating Chisora i just don't see him having the passion to be a boxer, so i wouldn't be surprised if it was the last time we saw him fight

If he can't even be bothered to train properly for the biggest fight of his career, then there is little point in him carrying on.

I can't understand on what basis he & his team thought that weighing 263 lbs would be beneficial to him.

That sad thing is, if he could have been bothered to make a bit more effort & train properly, he might well still be the British & Commonwealth champion today.

I just think he's the enigmatic type.

At heavyweight he's got the advantage (if you can call it that of course) of not having to make a weight, so if you can't be arsed training you don't have to bother, and don't have to spend hours in the steam room shedding excess lb'age.

I expect we'll see more of these sorts of episodes from him for the remainder of his career.

well, his big pay day has no gone out of the window. i was impressed when he beat sexton as sam is a lovely boxer and a proper heavyweight.

chirosa now will have to fight the likes of lee swaby again to build his confidence/reputation.

in fact lets get chirosa in with martin rogan...... i like the sound of that one.

I think the disappointment of the Klitschko fight falling through not once, but twice, really took the wind out his sails. He has lost his motivation. He really needs to perk up if he wants to achieve glory at the highest level.

He was woeful last night, fat and predictable. David Price would have got him out of there.

Assuming he knuckles down the chance for the big payday will soon come around again.

The Klitschkos are becoming popular here and recognise the value of the TV market here. Either of them can continue as long as they want fighting what opponents are available, so long as they're in shape around 240-250lbs they'll whip everyone.

Given the fact that the division is so thin, taking into account the fact that people like Povetkin are in no hurry to go anywhere near those kind of fights it'll only take winning the British and a couple of defences and you are in there.

I'm sure they'd both love the opportunity to conquer America, but boxing over there is at a pretty low ebb, most of the name fighters on HBO and Showtime are foreigners - Pacquiao, Marquez, Cotto, Froch, Khan, Pascal etc etc.

I don't think he needs to drop as far down as Lee Swaby.... he was impressive knocking Sexton over the second time, I'd like to see him back in there around November.

Unfortunately Allegedly fighters don't seem very active at all so it's unlikely.

The Derek Chisora I saw dismantle Sam Sexton last year never turned up last night. What has happened to him? Has he become disillusioned after the Wlad fights fell through, or is something else bothering him?? I think he would of beat Fury had he been in shape.

Dont care what shape he would of been in,he couldn't handle the style of that bigger type HW...god help him if he had of faced Wlad

I just think he can't be arsed. But he still probably would have beaten most UK heavyweights, bar Price and maybe Rogan.

Made Fury look better than he is.

Just didn't look motivated, it looked to me like he thought he'd take Fury out as soon as he landed his big right so forgot about his brilliant head movement to get inside and let loose with combo's. He also underused his string left jab to set up combinations and to keep Fury wary because Fury just timed his mad right hand over the top and countered easily. He didn't control the distance nearly as well as he did against Sexton, when he wanted he got inside and back out and kept it long at times against Sexton beautifully but wasn't nearly as effective against Fury. Fury needs full credit but Chisora was very poor and clearly unfit and unprepared for this one. I feel this is the big difference between fighters in boxing as a business and boxers in the sport they love, that's what it came down to and Del Boy just didn't want enough.

The signs were there in previous fights, his conditioning is poor, he was gulping down air in the Sexton fight and taking a breather as early as the 5th but Sexton didn't really force the fight much and Sexton isn't a top heavyweight.

If he turned up in shape I think he would have won. But to be that overweight shows lack of professionalism.

Fury was in the best shape of his career so far.

Price on ringside last week looked in better shape than Del boy and his next fight November!

When he let his hands go, Fury looked a bit clueless.

Not sure what happened but after the weigh in I changed my mind on this fight.

Tyson Fury just looked to have too much size and physical strength, I lost count of the times he was able to walk Chisora down, pin him in the corner and reset the action on his terms.

There were occasions when Chisora's explosiveness looked as though it might get him out of trouble and perhaps if he'd been lighter, he would have been able to attack more often.

However I also got the feeling that those chopping Fury combinations, if not concussive, were still hurtful enough to discourage him from taking as many risks as he perhaps needed to.

A rematch between the two somewhere down the line would be fascinating.

Chisora could have reigned as British champion for a while IF Tson Fury wasn't around, but he is very much around and in Fury he met someone who was never going to back down. He got dealt with pretty easily by Tyson who had a answer and then some for anything Chisora could come up with.
