Wasn't that impressed by his last outing, but it might have been an off night. He still won the fight comfortably.

It's a big risk putting him in with martinez, but I like risks.

I'd prefer to see Frampton face Booth and Quigg face Martinez

Big big test for Frampton but there's noway Hearn would get this fight if he had any doubts. Am on the fence about this one. Should be a craacker

Why rush him in to a fight like this when his last fight was poor

Seems like his team want to cut to the chase !!

I dont think it's a good idea. Way too soon. He should fight the winner of Booth-Quigg then see about going the go for the EBU title. Martinez is a solid European level fighter who's been on the fringes of world class. He fought N'dlovu in an eliminator at 9st i think?

Good fight, but i think Frampton doesn´t have the level for a EBU title fight, Quigg would be better opponentr for Kiko. I think kiko will stop him.

Interesting fight it really is throwing him in at the deep end though Kiko is no pushover and looked great stopping Booth. Tough to call if Frampton comes through this and Quigg the fight with Booth this would be a massive domestic clash for the European.

Lets see what Brickfists is made of!

Brave matchmaking by McGuigan, Framptom still needs a few learning fights IMO to get more experience before getting in with someone like Kiko

It is a tough fight, I wonder where Willie Casey fits in all of this.... seems to have been a forgotton man somewhat.

Casey is fighting that Kodjo Sassou in an eight rounder in September and I suspect will fight the winner of Martinez/Frampton in early 2012.
