This is sad. Danny's first loss came in 1970 to the huge Jack O'Halloran, who is better known for appearing in the Superman movies, but McAlinden could really whack and was close to a world heavyweight title shot in 1973 when he lost in three upset rounds to the American Morris Jackson.
