No I didn't see this fight but I've seen a few Of Clarences and if he don't get stopped early he'll go 24, however boring it may be - Funso don't start a thread on someone you don't know about. Your 'staggered' because you think you know heavyweight boxing through looking at boxrec records....

I think herny is his uncle,he's tough and at 134kg was just abig man to try and hurt and controll the ring with when I fought him,he was 131kg this time, but i've heard lucas controlled the fight with the jab and 12 rounds by both men is impressive, good luck to both of them!

I was posting to see what people thought of the fight.

I dont think im alone in being staggered that someone weighing 280/300lbs who has only done 6 rounds 4 times manages to go 12. Thats quite a leap.

Ive seen britains Carl Baker fight many times ...but if he went 12 id be staggered too. its the same difference.

I judged the fight up in Kalgoorlie. Both guys had plenty of time to train so they obviouslly put in the hard yards in the gym. Lucas controlled the fight with his jab. Tillman tried hard but just couldnt get passed the Jab. It was testiment to both guys that they made the 12, neither guy was gassed at the end either.

Browne fought the right fight on the night, used his jab well was a nice strong jab as well he boxed alot better than i expected him to. Both guys will be better for doing the 12 rounds as someone has already touched on Clarence had only done 6 a few times and Browne I think has only gone 4 once. The Jab won Browne the fight Clarence will be back as early as the end of the month with a couple fights in a space of a week in NZ including a rematch with big Joey Wilson. Be interesting to see Brownes next move i think alot of people will take him more serioulsy now.

Also can i add the WA officials are a great bunch of blokes, and the promotion and the way everyone was treated and looked after was top notch!!

Gday mate,
You are spot on. Everyone involved with the promotion was first class, Fighters, cornermen and officials there were treated great. It was good to work on the show , I think Mark Simpson's refereeing was absolutly spot on and the scoring was excellent considering the closness of a few of the fights.
The show was a success and im told Nezzy Club Promotions will be running a bigger show later in the year.
