Rick regularly posts on the Classic American West Coast Boxing thread; you could contact him there or PM him. He has a pretty good recollection of his fights - amateur and pro; if you boxed him, maybe he remembers you.

ray, this brings something up that I always wanted to ask...and maybe I'll ask it in the west coast thread.

Can a fighter POSSIBLY forget someone he squared off against in the ring?

......exception noted: Unless of course it is brought on by side affects of the sport itself....

i think it would depend on the person someone with 300 or so fights could be forgiven for forgetting a few opponents

Without mental injuries/disabilites or anything of that nature. If a fighter has fought even 70/80 times, (like Louis or Ali) I would say then YES I COULD BELIEVE IT.

Y'know, that's a helluva lot of fights, will a fighter remember every single one? I think that any boxer who has fought in that numerical region would be forgiven for an opponent or two slipping his mind.

But it's a good question.
:TU:

On the flipside, are you going to forget someone if they keep punching you in the face.
