vs. Dempsey. ref counts 10 over an exhausted jd around 8 rds, Foreman down on score cards. Tyson gets ko'ed early. Marciano keeping it close till ref. stops fight, a blooded Rocky protests. Louis looks great for several rounds till Big George puts some punches together. Wlad Klitschko eats too many punches in 2 rounds. Lennox Lewis hurts Foreman couple times and wins close dec. Sonny Liston uses jab and ends up with draw. Larry Holmes goes down twice but wins all other rounds for dec. win. Jersey Joe just plain outboxes Foreman. so does Charles till he gets face planted. 6-4 (6 ko's)

Some pretty handy predictions there, but if you think Foreman & Liston are doing a 15-round dance together (neither of them made that distance even once) youre out of your mind!

Marciano is not making it 9 rounds, "keeping it close, wanting to go on but fight stopped because of blood", yada, yada, yada.

'73 Foreman would freaking manhandle Marciano.

For what it's worth Cus D'Amato said no "swarmer is ever going to beat George Foreman."

I don't think Cus was under any illusion Tyson could beat a Prime Foreman.

I know, I just like that picture of Cus looking all intense like he's gonna rip your face off. He often looked almost as scary as Tyson, so I figured it an appropriate pic for your quote.

You're right, while it's not impossible, it is hard to see this one going the distance. I have trouble picking a clear winner for this one, I think it's close to 50/50 with a mid rounds stoppage the most likely outcome. If pressed I'd go for Foreman by KO in the 6th round.

It's all about opinion I suppose, for me Foreman would of been too big for most of the champs. Foreman had nearly unrivalled proper power punching! I dont think the smaller heavyweight champs would of been able too take them?.........But I reckon Lewis would of outboxed him and klit going off his last perfomance would of given Foreman a nightmare.......All these are subject to opinion and NOBODY will ever know for sure so who knows?....... Remember Douglas vs Tyson upsets happen. :box:

Lewis beats the 90s Foreman easily. He doesn't stop him though. I can only assume he's talking about the 90s Foreman, or the now foreman.
The creator of this thread didn't specify that it was the '90's version of Foreman. So, I'm assuming we're talking about Foreman at his peak and if so then flatnoseflynn has a lot of explaining to do. Lewis TKO10 Foreman? W. Klitschko PTS Foreman? :shame:

Why wouldn't Lewis stop Foreman........An over the hill Ali did :TU:

foreman ko's dempsey in 5 in a fight that see's both on the deck.
foreman ko's tyson in 10.
marciano and foreman is a hard pick foreman was so powerfull but rocky was indistructable and size could be a factor however i think rocky gets him late on. 14/15 for a tko.
louis ko's george in 8. louis's jab breaks him down.
klitchko gets sparked in 6
lennox wins on points
foreman tko in 8 liston
holmes ud
charles and walcott both get ko'd inside 8 rounds george just to big for them.

Marciano is way too small for big George......Marciano only weighs in at about 180 to 190 pounds thats just too small for a massive puncher like Foreman, even though rocky was still one hell of a tough nut. :box:

I won't pick exact rounds but I see a Foreman KO or Stoppage win against Dempsey, Marciano, Charles, Walcott, Tyson and Wladimir. Although in fairness to Wladimir I do think he's a much better champion than people want to give him credit for because he's often boring to watch. But still I can't see any version of Wladimir besting Prime George. Wlad as he is now is too cautious and would just get overwhelmed by the pressure of Foreman and the younger Wlad who threw a lot more punches, would lose quicker to Foreman but it would probably be a really fun to watch shootout Lyle/Foreman style.

I think Liston would stop Foreman because Foreman would be awestruck by him, remember he idolized Liston.

Holmes and Lewis would win clear cut decision victories, but likely would taste canvas a time or two along the way.

Joe Louis would likely get dropped a time or two also, but he would maintain his poise and come back to knock out Foreman sometime after the 10th

The Wladimir who boxed Haye was far from cautious I could see an upset they fought that night.......

Yes, throwing an average of 10 power shots per round, the guy was going balls to the wall!! Who could forget that when he had Haye cornered against the ropes numerous times, he let loose with his "death stare" that can kill a man in one flash, and in the center of the ring attempted to decapitate Hate with his infamous "death paws" . . .paws more deadly than a grizzly bear!!
