Agreed. Even though Aaron is improving all the time i think Rhodes would stop him. It'd be a suprise if Aaron took the fight.

I saw on Dave coldwells Twitter that Ryan Rhodes did not call arron out. If it did happen , I don't think the prince is ready for Ryan just yet.

It would be a shame if Rhodes fights for a British title after a world title shot at his age. I would like to see Jamie Cox or Joe Selkirk fight the Prince. We have so many young fighters in the Light Mid Division which needs some sorting out. Some of these fighters have to start fighting each. Many of them were approached to fight in Prizefighter and many refused.

Top of the bunch for me is Erick Ochieng. He is top class in and outside of the ring and he will fight anyone which what boxing needs when UFC is on it's toes.

Prince deserves a relatively easy defence but he is not likely to get one. Besides, getting Rhodes' scalp would be very beneficial to his career so maybe its worth a risk. Hall and Cox have an eliminator so in 6-7 months one of those will oppose him. If he doesn't fight Rhodes he could defend against Erick Ochieng, Bradley Pryce or Brian rose. all worthy competitors.

How did Hall get back in contention after being out for so long. I think other fighters deserve a chance for a eliminator but in boxing i guess its about who you know..... look at Matthew Hatton, he is a luky boy isn't he

Brian Rose deserves a shot before Selkirk and even Matthew Hall imo.
As for Rhodes Arron, Rhodes pretty easily imo, thats no disrespect to Arron who has improved a lot and still quite young.

aaron should take the fight if its offered, if you are british champ you need to look upwards...and rhodes is european level, aaron wants to aspire to that.
so lets get it on!!

There was talk of Prince Aaron getting a Euro title chance as the title will be vacant, when Konecny gets his WBO chance.
Maybe that's where the talk started, with Rhodes retaining his Euro ranking.
Rhodes will be back early in the new season - but for now against who, and what for, are yet to be sorted.
Rhodes v Prince Aaron must surely be one of the options.

It is an interesting fight when you look at it. Prince Aaron has the height and reach advantages over Ryan Rhodes however Rhodes' has the experience and the power in his punches in his favour and digs to the body very well as he put down Luca Messi with bodyshots when he was defending his European title so I would favour Rhodes in this one.

Just to clarify the situation here, a press interview with Ryan was taken out of context leading to the conclusion the Prince Aaron fight could happen.
Ryan was simply asked which British boxers were up there in the ratings and Aaron's name was mentioned.
The press in their infinite wisdom have then drawn their own coclusion about a potential fight.
Ryan wasn't calling him out - it's not his style anyway - and there will be no news on his next fight for a few weeks.
As soon as there's anything positive to report, I'll let you guys know.

Not a good idea for Aaron to take on Rhodes at this time he has far too many tough battles already in his short pro career the last one against Webb will have taken its toll even if his youth means he recovers quickly after such a hard fight if he plans a long career its surely a bad idea to have wars back to back and IMO it would be just that a war Rhodes is in the condition of his life going 12 with canelo who unlike against hatton did not stop trying to knock him out and in that heat showed great movement and it was webbs movement that was giving him the upper hand against Aaron all be it alot of wasted energy that was to prove his undoing Aaron deserves an easier first defence that will give him a test but allow him to develop he was thrown in at the deep end before and those losses would have ruined a lesser boxers confidence hats off to him has courage in spades but if he is looking beyond domestic level long term then picking the right opponent at the right time is key be great for us bad for him IMO
