The front cover photo of Fury is really good.

Hey Glyn does the cover photo have some type of filter on it?, I like the bronze look of it.

Another quality edition, packed with good, interesting and well written features.

- Borges on HBO changes at the top
- Lillis has a big spread on Warren and his sons
- Keyboard warrior Jeff Thomas :D
- Darren Barker
- Michael Watson
- Jamie Moore
- Victor Ortiz
- Frankie Gavin
- Dave Coldwell
- Tyson Fury
- Stephen Smith

Buncey has a great piece on Kimball and provocative piece from Farhood on the heavyweights :TU:

Effective look, isn't it. Chris Bevan uses that effect on most of his shots now, no idea what he does but I've noticed it's being used by other boxing photographers now - if you look at the lead shot in the Frankie Gavin feature you could easily mistake it for a Bev shot but it isn't.
Thanks for the support chaps, we always do our best - and sometimes it even works!

He won an award for that one, well pleased for/proud of him there. Murray was up against shots of proper celebs and he did em with a largely unknown boxer (at that time), brilliant.
The style is only part of it with Bev though, he's a great fella and he's got a knack with people, they take to him and he gets the shot he wants because of it. A bit of the story behind the Fury cover shot is told at the start of the feature, but also him and Fury were screaming 'you c?nt!' 'fornicating ponce!' 'lanky wanker!' 'bald shithead!' etc at each other to try and get Tyson, a happy go lucky type, in something approaching an aggressive mood. Wish I'd seen that, apparently Hughie Fury was quite worried about it when he walked in on them, thought it was kicking off!
Bev might look like a slaphead Robert Carlyle on steroids, but for my money he's the best boxing photographer in the world - completely untrained too, he only started taking it seriously after he was made redundant by a Sheffield steelworks.

Fury on the front cover and good feature on Fury inside, then in Farhood's column he gives a blow-by-blow account on why the heavyweight division should be axed. Typical Boxing Monthly (that's a compliment by the way)'. :TU:
