Berridge v.s Foley

Just watched this for the first time. I don't know what I was most shocked at the bad biased commentating, who somehow had Foley winning at the end, the judges who scored it a draw or the terrible pink shorts Foley wore. Atleast Kerry Foley had the honesty to say it was 'a shit decision'. Foley weighed 5 pounds more than the agreed fighting weight aswell. It was a great fight though and is there any news on a re-match? Berridge won in New Zealand last night and Foley doesn't seem to have a fight on the schedule, so hopefully they will get it on.

What's the story with Foley anyway? Two years ago he was being compared to Les Darcy, he lost to Terrance Smith and the wheel seemed to fall off.

He can get fights they offer super middle weights to fight him at 82 kg I'll fight him at 76kg he needs to loose weight or fight real cruiser weights simple.

I heard from a very reliable source, that he sustained a serious injury from a headbutt whilst fighting mr Berrige and is once again injured.
No one's making bones about the decision, Foleys camp aren't happy with the performance or fitness level. That was not a fit Kerry Foley in there and anyone that had seen Kerry fight before would agree.
Berrige fought a good fight, but IMO couldn't see it happening again. Look forward to seeing it happen again, and who knows maybe In the future i might have a word about the fight directly from Kerry......first things first he needs to get his shitt together and ask himself is this what he wants, and apply himself.

I think he sustained a serious head injury from all the punches mr burrige put of his face.
after his loss the 5-10-2 fighter in the states, his performance against berriige and his apparent non application to training or diet (given his weight), it is hard to say if he is really a prospect or not. Time will tell i guess, hopefully he is.
IMO Berrige was never introuble and was composed the whole fight, i se a rematch (which i don't think the foley camp will agree to) would go much tthe same way.

Well i disagree, I've seen the majority of his fights, and that wasn't Kerry Foley.
1 punch bombs, telegraphed punch's, and gassing before the 3rd round was over, little to no movement and yes he looked pudgy and looked like he had no Caedio in his build up.....i think at worse it was 3 rounds each and i'm not being biased and not all fighters squint or grimace with pain when they hurt(they retreat), just like the bloke in the other thread who thought Tarver wasn't hurt in the 7th with Green(even tho Tarver himself said he was).....watch the game, and try not to be so cynical or chase conspiracys...home and away is on at 7 and you catch your daily drama there.
Berridge fought very well and i would have been more inclined to give him the nod..... but i can't see that happening twice. Time will tell, and i myself if you read between the lines think that a massive restructure is needed if he is to live upto the hype that i, and most others bestowed upon the young fighter.
And Dan he has facial fractures, i watched the fight twice before it disappeared, in no way does Berridgwe possess that sort of power mate.....Think.

Yep he definatly got caught alot but was never really wobbled. That blatant elbow definatly cost him.

never seen the fight between Berridge vs Foley but wat i do know is kerry is very very overated and as DJ pawsey said he fight guys who are allot smaller and he makes sure hes always a few kilos heavier gets his opponents hand picked hes looked after very well. he does have pritty heavy hands but lacks in every other department he lost to a journeyman in the states and now i believe he should of lost his last fight to Berridge.. not going very far in boxing i dont think guys

I find it hard to believe he can't get fights considering his trainer is a match maker. I seen him listed against Joal Casey a while back, than fight disappeared from schedule. I wonder what happend ? I seen him fight Casey early on in his career, Foley got the dicision, but it was close very close. It would be interesting if they fought again.

We will have to agree to disagree mate.
I think he maintained composed after getting caught and i must say watching the fight i was going for foley but never at any stage thought he was about to get the ko. I thought the ko was coming for berrige.
As for the "cynical and conspiracy" commentt, you are the one talking about a reliable soource telling you this and that, not me. I am simply judging the fight on what i saw with my own eyes, and what i saw tells me the next fight would go much the same way.
Think.

Cynical meaning Not having any illusions about human nature.
So if someone in the family tells me that the injuries occured in the fight, this is somehow cynical from my behalf is it?
Your jumping the gun without knowing, i'm telling you what i know, and you're failing to accept it, it is what it is, deal with it.
Mate your carrying on like this was a wipeout or a landslide victory, the fight was in Kerry's fsvor going into the 5th berridge had his moments and certainly had a little bit of momentum going into the 5th, which he won 5 and 6 easily, but as some fans seem to forget that each round should be scored and judges hand over the scorecards after each round, not the last memory of the fight or how it ended in another persons favor. Score it that way and come back to me.
Berridge in my opinion would have won had he not thrown a deliberate elbow. And the result of Kerry's Fractures, were from the head clash's and elbow, you're not telling me that you think Berridge caused the fractures by punch's, i just can't see that happening as i did view the fight myself, even the knockdown was a cause of accumalitive blows and fatigue, if i was scoring by rounds it was certainly at worst 3-3.
Agree to disagree.

The fight was even in rounds going into the 5th with Foley a point up because of the elbow. At least nobody dis-agrees with the final 2 rounds.
