McCullough: "I've still not retired"

"I still haven't retired. I just can't get a fight. Nobody wants to fight someone who has never been on the canvas."
Will get my interview with Wayne up asap, what a terrific guy. Real warrior.
Still reckons he beat Naz and is as up for a fight as ever.
Would rather he hung up his gloves though, and concentrated on his new role with the UFC.

McCulloch didn't come close to beating Naz, he tucked up, kept his chin down and was happy to go the distance. He never really tried to win he just wanted to get through it.

I follow Wayne on the social media outlets and he comes across as a top guy and a loving family man so for the sake of the latter he should officially call it a day. A comeback at his age and weight class only ends in one way.

Would Def Sell but at what weight? Wayne would'nt make Super Bantam anymore, and the fight wouldn't be that big without a Title on the Line..............

Aye and has done for years. He was in full swing on it when I interviewed him in 2008. Best of luck to him. One of the nicest boxers I've ever met.

While I think Naz won this fight by 2 rounds, no way did McCullough come to make up the numbers. Wayne chased Hamed throughout this fight with the bigger punching Naz unwilling to stand and trade. Naz realised early that we could not put Wayne away and he was happy to potshot his way to a points win.

I hope Wayne means that tongue-in-cheek... He should just retire, he's too old now to do anymore damage.

I was lucky enough to meet and chat with Wayne at the Hamed-Barrera fight. Top bloke. Would like to see him retire as he has nothing to prove, he gave everything to the sport. His fight with Morales was superb. He probably considers the Naz fight a moral victory given that Naz was happy to not get involved with him.
