I feel with dedication, full time training & real preperation Hamdi could of done something in the sport. He's so much better than his record. He works a full time job and dosen't do any serious training for fights and always fights on short notice.

Having a look at his record and my point is proven.......

-Beaten by just 1 Point against 3-0 ABA Finalist Akaash Bhatia.
-Beaten by just 1 POINT (59-58) against Current World Champion Ricky Burns.
-Defeated 8-0 Anthony Crolla
-Took 23-0 John Murray to a extremly close decision. He gave John a ton of problems and before the decision was announced I was thinking maybe a draw or even possible upset could be on the cards here. John won by two points.(77-75)
-Defeated 2-0 Lee Jennings
-Again beaten by a narrow two points against amatuer Steve Bell in a close fight.
-Defeated 19-5 Steve Saville.
-Beaten by one point against 9-0 Rick Godding. (39-38)
-Draw with 4-0 Phil Gill
-Beaten by one point against 2-0 Stephen Jennings
-Beaten by just two points by 10-0 Kris Matthew Hughes

Yeah I know he lost alot of these. But how many times would you say Al Hamdi has deserved the nod? And yet yet not got it due to it being against a prospect on his promoters show? More than once I imagine.

To push and probaly beat alot of prospects with big amatuer backgrounds with hardly any real training and short notice i find pretty impressive. Like I said he could of been something if he was full time & dedicaed.

I have seen quite a few of the fights above - and lets just say he has actually won a few more than his record suggests

Provided plenty of warning for John Murray's problems with movement.

Great fighter.

I watched that fight against Murray.

Rust was blamed for it as Murray had been out for a while. I wouldn't say Murray looked 'beat' that night, but let's just say he didn't look like he was winning either.

Surprised he aint got a nod at Prizefighter.

There is still a big line to cross from being a good fighter and a dangerman to become a champion
