Seems like a odd arrangement a promoter openly wanting one of his fighters to lose against the other.

If I was George I'd tell him to go fck himself...

Perhaps they went with Warren because Booth had burnt his bridges elsewhwere???

Seems a strange approach to say that.

"Their first fight was close, and i thought Degale edged it - but fair play to George. Hopefully a rematch in the future will maybe be more conclusive" would have been a more friendly take on it, regardless of feelings on the fighters as individuals.

It's almost as Groves is not a FW fighter. Maybe he isn't 100%, maybe there are caveats with the signing.

Oh well.

Very bloody strange and it seems like things aren't getting off to a very good start if he's already publicly pinning his colours to another of his stables mast before the press conference has taken place to announce their partnership bulit on mutual admiration for one another.

Frank is just the promoter, the manager is Booth. Booth and Groves know hat they are doing. Groves may be with Warren but he is still HAYEMAKER in his heart.

I am still really surprised that Groves signed with Warren.

I wonder if Groves is going to get the same treatment Witter did when he was with SN. Warren seems to have a bee in his bonnet when it comes to not being exclusively in charge.

Completely different scenario. Groves is a massive London based ticket seller. Witter wasnt....

True but Warren didn't exactly do a lot to raise his profile. I've always got the impression that Warren doesn't have a very good relationship with the Ingles and that had a lot to do with it.

Warren and Booth aren't exactly bumming each other either.

In his Sun column last week, Fwank made reference to sxxtstirrers who have been trying to drive a wedge between him and DeGale, over the Groves signing, and Fwank seems to have wanted to make a statement to reassure DeGale that he's still the apple of Fwanks eye :) You can understand why, Fwank will not want DeGale to "make it" and then decide to leave the stable. That sort of thing can really bugger things up when you're a promoter.
