Tony Galento and Arturo Godoy faced a prime Joe Louis and lost Galento by tko in 4 and Godoy lost in 15 rds by decision and tko 8. Marciano faced an old Joe Louis. Can Marciano would had beaten this 2 Louis Challengers? Both were pressure fighters like Marciano, Arturo Godoy lack Marciano punching power and Galento lack the conditioning.

Yes, he could have and most likely would have.

Galento would have been beaten mercilessly. That fight would have been a foolish bloodbath for the Two Tunner.....lol.

Marciano beats both by knockouts... I'd be surprised if they lasted 10 rounds between them.
And "The Brockton Blockbuster" could probably beat them both the same night.

This is very interesting Arturo Godoy gave Louis a tough fight that some observers believed he deserved the win. In the remath Louis dominated Godoy tko in 8 rounds. Galento last only 4 rounds against Louis but he did score a knock down. And hurt Louis tought fight for 3 rounds. Can Marciano would had beaten worst than Louis? Also it is mention a lot that Louis could had tko Marciano on cuts in about 8 rounds in his prime.

Godoy would've lasted the distance, the guy had a chin of steel. Only truly stopped once in 123 fights, and that vs a peak Louis, and Godoy was still trying to charge Louis after the ref stepped in to stop the slaughter. Godoy was like the John Ruiz of his day but a far superior athlete and in much better condition. He was not averse to making a fight extremely ugly with his mauling, smothering style. But I'm still amazed when I see him vs Louis in the first fight, and after 15 rounds with Louis, he is bounching around the ring doing bunny hops. Truly a quirky/wacky guy.

..i agree.....look at his record and you'll see how rugged he was and i think he'd go the distance. when he fought louis the first time at the end of the fight he kissed louis on the cheek. if you see pictures of him after the second fight you'll have the same reaction dempsey does...at the way he went after louis when the fight was stopped and he had to be held back by the ref and his handlers because he wanted to continue to fight.

you might be able to find the second fight on tape, though i had a hard time getting it. godoy took a real pasting but just kept coming on. if he's remembered at all it's from the louis fights, but her was a good tough fighter and is too neglected in boxing history.

Marciano would have killed Galento.

It would be horrific to watch.
