LIGHTWEIGHT & WELTERWEIGHT FIGHTERS ONLY

Theses are the opponents that people will play for the first four fights of the league. I put the names in a random order and then set a stopwatch going and the last number of the stopwatch after running for a few seconds determind who would fight who. In each section you will all fight twice and (home and away example) and the results will be posted on this thread. When all the fights are complete, each of you will have fought 14 times, playing each player twice (home and away example). When these fights listed have been completed i will then set out your opponents for the next four fights and so on. I will put up the scoring rules so you can all see what points you get for knock outs, draws or points decision wins and vice versa if you lose. One MAJOR rule will be that the home fighter, ie, if your name on the bout comes first, will get the pick of who he fights with if both opponents wish to use the same fighter. Please make sure that you put your bouts result on this thread, ie, Quixall (Corrales) beat King Kong (Duran) KO 5th round or Quixall (Judah) lost to King Kong (De La Hoya) UD etc etc. Subsequent league tables will be updated after each batch of either 2 or 4 fights each. Last issue is, please can we keep to using lightweight and welterweight fighters !!

there isnt that many Ligtweights though are there
have any of yous paid the cash to unlock fighters ?

im happy enough to go with them though as fights seenm to last bit longer

im normally on back of 9 or ten mark at night but can pre arrange a match time during the day on this

Ps- Quixall ill be in from 7pm tonight so anytime you think youll be on i can do our first match ,

Just realized it starts Friday so ill practice till then

I have included the welterweights as well, so we have quite a lot of fighters to choose from now

When you fight online you can only choose from 3 division:

Lightweight
Middleweight
Heavyweight

The Lighweight category only comprises the flyweight fighters up to lightweights. Middleweight category comprises of the welters to middle.
Heavyweight takes in the light heavys to heavy.

I take it we are just sticking to the lightweight division?
Are we alllowed to use any created or downloaded boxers or just official EA boxers? (I'll never get over the shame of being beaten up by Mr Bean online)

thats what annoys me about this game

the online weight divisions , if im aon heavyweight and want to Go Calzaghe i want someone to go someone nearer his weight but someone will go tyson and nail me

its claims when they started doing this in the last agme that it evens it up but im not sure

Knockout Kings 3 was best online casue that had the divisons all seperate

Question: I didn't get this as I couldn't get into round 4 because they took away my preferred camera option and control scheme. In the first 3 games I'd always set the camera to "swing", the third person(ish) view and set the controls so pushing the stick up moved the fighter forward.
Have they put these back in?

What i would say guys is lets stick to the official game fighters.................

I would say that you can use any fighter up to middleweight !!

So you can't actually use a middleweight fighter, but can use bamtamweight, featherweight, lightweight and weltwerweight

We all know who these fighters are, from Donaire to De La Hoya !!!!

You will have to go into the middlweight catagory to use the welterweight fighters.

Its concievable that say Corrales could beat an online Judah or a Whitaker could beat a Hatton, but if you included the middleweight division then it would have to be middleweight vs middle weight.

If that isn't clear enough, them im happy to produce a list of available fighters

Hunts ya and wears ya down. If you get the choice of fighter on the home tie i know who i will be choosing because he seems 2 have a favourite fighter to suit his style so im gonna steal him. Haha.

Jon beat me 2-1 on games, my victory was a lucky one punch KO. Lovely uppercut right enuf.
His firsy victory was a good win but his second was on cuts which is seriously pissin me off. The game is allowin far 2 many cuts and its spoilin a lot of fights. I could have seen me opening up a good points victory until the cut stopped me.

That's why he is a seasoned pro at the game............

I know what you are saying about the cuts, but in some ways it adds more to the game, because someone who may be better than you can lose because of it and also you have to adopt different strategies in order to cope with cuts.

I got lucky in the 2nd fight the cuts suck I think, its a pity you cant switch them off.
Your headbutts were class btw but you are a good fighter, nice counters no doubt.

Just played Ketchel and was winning but the fight cut out , this i fibnd to be annoying also.
Ketchel had hos own ken buchanan and he was a dead ringer, I was laughing when I saw him in his green tartan shorts with matching grean gloves and it looked just like Ken!

I tried to box like him, but you were wearing me down. The fight cut out before you could deliver the coup de grace to my knads!

What happens in this cutting out situation? Does it go the the scorecards if the fight goes beyond 4 rounds?

Iv'e never had it when it cuts out.............!!

Maybe we should either have a re-match or say use the points system after eight rounds !!

If your a slow starter and intend on going the distance, then if it cuts at 4 rounds its a disadvantage to the person who is adopting that stategy, where as by the eighth round 80% of the time you know where the fight is going, bar a million to one knock out job or a cuts stoppage.

I think we shoyuld try and avoid using the headbutt guys, because it seems to me that the fighters cut up like ribbons anyway and a headbutt will make that worse lol

The headbutt is a handy tool.
If ive been down twice and im out on my feet knowing that im gonna struggle to get back up for the third time then im defo throwin the napper and taking the point deduction to stay in the fight! Lol.
If its just the cuts which is annoyin ya then i will agree a compromise of 2 rapid whacks to the balls instead.

All i can say is that if you use the headbutt on me i may have to pull a shotgun on you after the fight.......no offence

If it cuts out i think it stilla wards it to a winner

it has never cut out on me so far

some folk cant take a beating and pull the plug
