Fantastic show tonight.

Really high standard of fights. Last season the Frampton v Quon fight might have been top of the bill. Brilliant value for my subscription and the added bonus of Friday night's bill and Ringside made it all the better.

Agreed, hats of to eddie hearn too, matching his fighters tough and he must be the most passionate promoter for the sport i've seen at fights, really get's into it.

Agreed and I also think Nick Halling is improving and doing well behind the mic. Considered, good delivery without getting too giddy.

I've liked Nick for a long time, on the NFL and all that sh1te.

But I thought he was seeing things for McCloskey in the home stretch that just weren't there.

I thought Watt and Rawling banging on about the ref needing step in during the Klitschko fight got pretty irritating but other than that a great night if entertainment.

I think Funso has a point. For a long while, Sky's tactic was to sit back and watch terrestrial invest in a fighter and do all the spadework to build up his profile -- and then just when it was time to make good on that investment they would appear dangling a flashy cheque and poach him. For the BBC/ITV, it must have felt like they'd done all the foreplay with a girl, only to see some brash guy with a gold earring elbow them out the way and shag her. I know there are other things that turned terrestrial against boxing - Audley's failures, the Watson, McClellan fights etc, but the fact that they kept getting their fingers burned by Sky was a big one in my view.

To be honest, boxing is a very difficult sport to invest in and get a decent return from. For far too long promoters havent wanted to match the best fighters against each other and often hyped up fights produce very little.

Essentially the shows often fail to deliver and on terrestrial television where money and air time are at a premium its often felt by the television executives that boxing is far too much of a risk. Sky on the other hand have more air time and cash to throw at the promoters and sport.

It would be, but probably only once every 3 months and all the big fights would go abroad

Totally agree top weekend of boxing. Hope they keep the odd friday night show along with the Saturday one as well
