Searched and couldn't find any other thread on this, seems to have gone under the radar a bit.

What's everyone's thoughts? You would imagine Proksa would need a knockout in Germany or at least a very clear win like Geale.

Anyone seen anyone doing odds on this one?

bour proska can win but sylvester is a serious and dedicated fighter who is rugged.
it is 50 50 in my opinion. but if proska fight shis best his style is awkwrd and can land some hurtful punches to sylvester i say proska on points he can outbox him.
or sylvester stoppage or points. but 50 50 i say i favour proska jus cus of his style and he has bene wiating for this sort of pportunity for a while. fair play to sylvester for giving him this opp if he had any say at all.

Great to see Proksa get his chance - only seen Youtube clips of him. I really like what I saw. Looks to have real power

He was on the Gary Sykes Huddersfield undercard as far as I can remember & he looked pretty powerful then. He was billed out of Brentwood so surprised he hasnt been seen a lot more on the UK circuit.

Pretty much all of his previous fights were in the UK but I can't remember seeing him on Sky. It's a shame as I've also seen him fight on an undercard and he's a lot more TV friendly than some of the fighters that do get shown. It was a while back I saw him so I'm not sure how he has progressed since then.

Maybe if Barker loses to Martinez they could get it on down the line.

That explains it really been plying his trade around the UK, but not really got the publics attention.

The Brit based imports have really impressed over the past two days.

We should adopt Proksa as British & Irish Boxrec's prospect

I sat and watched this with my dad and he said you love your boxing what's this Polish guy like and I said I don't really know anything about him, you get alot of eastern europeans with built up records getting beat in there first real test. He boxed brilliantly, so I looked up his record and he's been fighting on British small hall shows for years Definatley going to be following him now. Don't think I'll see him in a small hall show though.

as i said he is awkward and those type of confident fighters will cause problems.

Isn't he also a Matchroom fighter? Him vs Barker in a world title eliminator would be pretty tasty!

i've seen proska on asky undercard ort wo over the years. good to see him doing well. hopefulyl he gets a chance. sometimes if you're not english with a local following, you don't get anywhere.

Just watched the fight and I was impressed with Proksa's performance last night. He looked so relaxed and comfortable and couldn't miss Sylvester with that straight down the middle. The rare time Sylvester connected, Proksa returned with a smile and a combination. That's how you win in Germany against a hometown lad.

I've seen quite a bit of Proksa. He's obviously talanted, an action fighter and good to watch. He has a lot of good attributes, fast hands, good accuracy, powerful combinations, good footwork, stamina etc, but its his defence that i suspect will let him down at world level. I think he looks very open at times and that could be a real problem when he steps up a couple of levels.

He's a good prospect that seriously needs to step up in class now. He's 26 and 0, and will turn 27 years of age next month. Now that he's got the European title, hopefully his team wont hold him back any longer.

Looks like Proksa will be making the first defence of his title against Sebastian Zbik, thats a great fight for him at this stage, lets hope it comes of.

What a great win at weekend and sounds like he did it in style as well. He is not a guy I know a lot about and I know he is Brit based, who does he train with and is he linked to any brit promoter?

Perhaps this won't be appropriate given the emphatic nature of his win against a still (for my money) world class Middleweight.... However, I cannot help thinking that Proksa could be more suited to Light Middle - he looks a beast at that weight from the clips I saw.

If he is too remain at Middleweight, I hope he makes a couple of defenses before moving up - so he fills the weight devision more.

He's boxed on Matchroom bills for years, similar to Sosnowski, I head he lives around the same area that the heavyweight does/did?

It was a really good showing, but Sylvester really looked like a guy with no fight left in him. Barker could be a good fight for him towards the start of the year.

Very good performance by Proska, against a very good world class fighter!! I would favour Proska over Geale. It will be interesting to see where he goes from here

I'm sure I read in Boxing News that he lives in Redhill which is just down the road from me.
